A friend of mine is offering for sale his factory built race car by Mini BMW. He says this about the car: This is a generation 2 right hand drive , turbo charged vehicle, a genuine Mini Challenge Cooper S R56 JCW as far as I am aware the only one in NZ Most of the MIni Challenge race cars are older left hand drive R53 supercharged that have had a very hard life . if you purchased it new in the UK it would have cost $100,000 NZ The vehicle has done 4000 km and is like brand new. It is road legal with an LW certificate and has been issued with a motorsport authority card .It is registered and has a current WOF .It is set up as a targa car and ideal also for the tour .The car is very straight and never been crashed 250 - 260 hp weighs 1000kg . Homologated roll cage; Racetech seats and harnesses ,Trackit GPS Monet rally computer, six speed transmission. JCW aero kit rear diffuser high-downforce adjustable rear wing , AP Racing ABS brakes, KW rebound , height and camber adjustable coilover suspension, Sparco quick release steering wheel, inboard jacks system (very cool) Quaife LSD sump pan Vorshlag adjustable camber plates , adjustable strut brace , 3 sets of wheels and tyres all near new and genuine mini Lots of spares too many to list . This a very cool car and would make a great club car, targa car, tour car, great car to syndicate with a couple of enthusiast like minded people ! 30 k has to be a lot of bang for your buck being so unused and like new . I'd keep the Honda CRV. You need at least one really reliable car to get you away from the fires down there

Bank charges in general... One months interest on savings of thousands of dollars - $1,40 less tax, go a dollar overdrawn for six hours ovenight - $10 charge plus interest...

Bad new for you Qube If you're still interested, email the Speedfactor guys, they seem pretty good to deal with. Just tell them I referred you and you're the guy that wanted the 19s. If you're really keen for that colour maybe just order silver and get someone in NZ to re-finish them. Will probably be expensive though. I'm going ahead with my order... Found this pic of a black M3 with similar setup (just wider), which has me thinking I'm making the right choice

i am a long bodied 6 3 I had a 120d hatch. Was a wee bit tight to get in and out of,once in you will be ok but the seat will be all the way down aand a long way back. There will be very little room between the back of your seat and the front of the back seat.As a hatch back you wont have anywhere near rhte room of a FWD hatch back. But it is a nice drive, really nice sterring and brakes.A 130 will have plenty of engine too

Or just get a Z4. You have one practical vehicle, make the other a fun one.

You should have a e39 530i and a 130i. Ditch the CRV. Done.

Bit of paint stripping with a wire disk on the drill, coat of primer and a few coats of aluminium colour to match the body colour.
