Plans to trade in this car fell through after a family member passed away and I had to put money towards other expenses, this is my 4th car and sadly its the one that gets used the least! Cheeky offers may be considered~!

I haven't been trying tooooo hard to sell it (it's such a great car to drive and I would really miss it) but it's time to move on now hence the cheap price, can't believe it hasn't sold already! Someone come take it for a test drive

Hahah wow so many emails from this thread! The car wasn't overheated afaik, the coolant is gone but the temperature wasn't pegged. My wife's recount of what happened was "suddenly there was a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust and it wasn't running right" so we parked it up and called the towie, has been sitting since last Friday I'm not a mechanic by anymeans - but it seems like HG or maybe a stuck valve (but that wouldn't account for the missing coolant?), but the head had been replaced with a HellBM head about a year and a half ago sooooo..? I don't have a compression tester, I could go buy one but honestly I can't be bothered dealing with it at the moment as it was a bit of an ordeal (had to go buy the Mrs a new car that same weekend for work on Monday, ugh.) If you're interested in the car you can test it if you'd like and have a good inspection before buying. The car starts but idles rough, sounds like it's down a cyl, but you guys would know way more about this stuff than I do. I'm not sure about just driving and topping up the coolant every once and a while, but hey if you live on the edge you're welcome to try Cheers!

Hi guys my wife's daily 328i has just bit the bullet, looks like a blown headgasket but could possibly be a stuck valve. It's an auto 328i sedan with about 140,000kms on the clock, black leather interior, good tyres, sunroof works but sticks a little closing. Would be a great donor car or just making some $$ off parting out, $700 and its yours. Pickup in Glenfield. Note: car will obviously need to be trailered/towed, unable to be driven in current condition, cheers!

I'm after a new car and have just been offered 4.5k as a trade in, if someone wants it and they can give me $5k its theirs, otherwise I'll just be lazy and trade it in. Things to note; -Lately had two coil packs replaced (cyl 5 and 7) -Has a speed wobble at 90ish km's, suspect thrust arm bushings 5k for a car this tidy with such a great maintenance history is a bargain, grab a deal! Would hate to see this car traded in. Cheers guys!

Hey guys. I've found another project car, so up for sale is my beautiful E39 540i Msport on genuine BBS wheels. This car has an amazing history of maintenance and receipts totalling $25k+ Car has done 188,000kms, this will go up as its my daily. Major things that have been replaced/repaired are: - The tiptronic trans has been rebuilt - $5k receipt - Cooling system has been replaced - $2k receipt ** Timing chain tensioner has been replaced - this is an important one, not many E39's for sale out there that have had this taken care of. - Belts have been done within the past couple of years. It's very tidy inside and out and drives beautifully. The leather is in great condition. Has the factory head unit but has had after market speakers, amp and sub installed, sounds very good. All windows work, sunroof works perfectly and the rear pop up blind works great too. A previous owner has installed an oil catch can and deleted the rear muffler, the car sounds lovely with a few pops and crackles on decel, but not obnoxious. Things that I would look into if I were to keep the car are: - Very slow oil leak - I think this is coming from around where the oil catch can has been installed, if not it's probably a seal. The amount of oil is very little. 3.9k ONO. Test drives are welcome and encouraged. Car is located in Glenfield. --- Note: car will come on BBS wheels in the first image. Cheers.
