Dad's E30 had it's first ever actual breakdown yesterday. I think he'd had it 15 years October just gone. It's a 1990 325i SE manual and is getting up near 230K now. It's had minor repairs like a clutch (1), brakes, a starter, an alternator repair etc, but this was the first time it EVER refused to start and left him stuck. I thought it was impressive - it's never left him stranded anywhere, and the first time it does..... ..... the mechanic at a workshop giving it a WOF is driving it, INSIDE the workshop . When it finally breaks down, it's in the perfect place! Dad's stoked with it, it by far the best car he's ever had. If he wins lotto, he's going to have it rebuilt/restored top to bottom

Woke up this morning, still half smashed from last night. Brushed teeth, hopped in e36 so I could get to work on time. This car is the most uncomfortable horrible loose heap of fun I have ever driven. I do not recommend doing this to yours. Unless youre a G as dude like me. Who does this!?!?

When I joined the forum over a year ago there where only a few e38's here.. I guess they're becoming more affordable now. Be nice to have a 7 series meet and cruise sometime.

Sounds like the fuel pumps are sh*t - may need replacing every 200K or 20 years, whichever comes first

Seems to be a influx of 7 series into here recently - nice to see something a bit different, kool cars.

Big difference between a closed road during Targa and a road full of centre line crossing and right of way ignoring locals in their race car Hilux's and SV6 Commodores.

I have this sort of relationship with my Mrs. But with Cars rather than games. Games would be much much cheaper.

Actual. We are the Romeo and Juliet of the gaming world, she is PS and I'm Xbox. Our version of quality time is having the tv's in the same room. Otherwise we wouldn't see each some days.

Nice ride.. The SLS is adjustable.. So no worries about putting the lowering springs on there or you could just delete the SLS as many others do. I've lowered my 740i with Jamisen springs over the EDC shocks and have had no probplems with that. I bought the springs and then took the car to The Shock Shop and they fitted them for me. Hope its ok to post this link here.. If your a DIY guy this site has all the info you'll need re your E38. If you have a hunt around you'll find all the info on shock's, springs and coilovers you'll need. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?274-1995-2001-(E38) Before After

Seems it's only a problem north of the bridge... too many cops and not enough meth there
