http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=686881849&ed=true Yes I too am surprised it has not sold. Have had many tyre kickers and young guys with zero funds come view along with plenty of ridiculous offers. The people that question the power then need to come test drive and realise it is much faster and fun than your 'suby'. The reason I am advertising on BS is to hopefully attract said BMW enthusiasts. Thanks Rick.

You gotta realise that most people nowdays have a fair idea of what their car is worth. Years ago dealers had a secret wee book which arrived once a month showing prices for cars all around the country. They`d use the wee book to price tradeins, particularly for cars they were unfamiliar with. And people trading cars had no idea what their cars were actually worth. It was a bit of a lottery, and I was in the business for a while. In my experience, If you like the car buy it. Don`t piss the vendor around by offering 20 % less. If he`s used his brain he has already discounted a bit so he can sell the thing.

Here are a couple of pics. The upside down one is when we had just dragged it out of the drain, and the other is having flipped it back over just before it went on the tow truck. As you can see, considering the impact etc the car held together extremely well, even after rolling.... brilliant i say.... Edit- Good to know about the airbags too, I was always curious, cheers for the info.

About 4-5 years ago, I could have landed a genuine B10 with 78kms on the clock for $11,800. Still wish I did it.

I did say that I accept it may well be BS!! However, I do stand by the fact that they're built like tanks so there's potentially to walk away from some pretty bad scrapes but as you say, you can't beat physics.

1990 320i Coupe in Northcote missing it's front bumper. Doesn't look like it's moved in the last week or so. Sitting bloody nicely on Style 5 type wheels. And a criminally stunning 'vert. Anyone know it's suspension specs? It has Bilstein in the rear.

Ok, not pointing the finger at you suggesting you were endorsing, merely it was being somewhat shrugged off. Yes, I also agree on people covering up other potential hazards, but again -that is another issue. Things need to be cleared up as they become apparent. Yes in certain circumstances an Air Bag system can be removed from a car, but in this case - the COMPLETE system must be removed. Yes correct BUT - being that it is intended as replicating a part, there is a potential for discrepency & cause the system to shutdown. No different to any other fault in the system I agree, but IMO (as is the law) the system should be bought back to factory spec
