lol there is some wank in a black e38 around here that does that. burning around switching lanes between traffic, flying up behind you and flashing his lights trying to get you to move over. then the traffic lights turn red and everyone catches up to him. if that was me id be too embarrassed that everyone caught up to me and id run the red light, but he just sits there acting cool with his hand out the window and his over sized sunnies on.

All E46 models are susceptible not just the M3. It just doesn't happen to cars driven normally on the road, and as 318, 320 etc are not usually tracked they don't fail as often. A popped spot weld does not usually constitute sub-frame failure to BMW and to be honest there are plenty of other things that fail on any other cars. All of the sub-frame failures you speak of are in reality only on a small percentage of cars ie. I could only count 14 instances of MY2001-2003 failures over the last 3 years on that forum - out of all the USA and UK users on there. Some people just like putting the frighteners out but under normal (and some spirited) driving its not an issue. If it happens to me then I may change my mind but I love my car and rarely hammer it, and anyway it knows it goes to the knackers yard it if it does. To be honest I've never revved it over 6k so it owes me!!

knocked our wood pile over, and we lost a vase which my wife had placed precariously on top of the extractor fan for the stove. We were selling a car at the time, and i couldn't figure out why the car was shaking, then i looked out the windscreen, and saw the Honda bouncing up and down lol. Some dudes in a late model A8 pulled over on the other side of the road and were getting under their car, checking the tyres and the like looking for the problem. l Yelled out that it was an earthquake; and the relief on the drivers face was palpable haha!
