After quite a while of looking I happen to come across this very tidy and genuine NZ New E36 M3. It has black leather along with all the normal kit and is very original including a complete and up to date service book! It's had a new Vanos, water pump, cooling system and all bushes replaced. Going to be working on the paint and bringing It back to new condition. Thinking of putting my immaculate 2003 E39 530i up for sale. So if your interested, let me know. Only have a few pics after quick wash this arvo.

Those that have had dealings with VAC have regretted it immensely (this goes for NZ folks and many of those in the US of A). I would stay away. Wouldn't be the first S65 to run a big end and won't be the last ... the worst V8 engine to ever come out of BMW M. Personally I'd put a s62 back in there instead : P Like I said when I saw you at McMillans Tristan ... importing is probably the cheapest way to go ... however, a crank and bearing job isn't exactly hard. If you source the parts overseas I don't see why a competent engine builder can't replace a crank and bearings.

On this topic. Back when I was a youngin my Grandfather and Father imported a 5 series from South Africa. It was apparently a bit of a mix between an E28 M5 and the E12 MLE. This car was sold in Auckland in the mid 80's. It was Green (Reason why it was sold). Does anyone have an idea of what it would have been? Did the saffa's mix the models and parts? It had some boogey that's for sure. I remember Dad hooning it around. Does anybody know of any MLE's in NZ?

brought a 316i from some cock sucker in Hamilton and drove it home. The guy didnt think to tell me it was deregistered until i had flown up. I knew it had no WOF or reg, but didnt tell me no plates either. lucky i brought a set with me. the few goodies it did have stripped etc. Be carefull buying sh*t off Facebook lol On the bright side, its fairly tidy on the outside, cheap, and runs well ha.

I was happy with my Bridgestone Potenzas on my 530. Now I'm running Michelin PSS on the E92. Got them for 1K US from American Tire Depot (or TireRack). Couldn't be happier.
