Hi All, First post, joined in 2012 with an 03 530 motorsport titansilber but now have just picked up TopasBlau 03 motorsport. Was looking for a v8 but couldn't go past this one at the price. A few new parts are streaming in from the US and Europe. Done the CCV and DISA, a damn good clean, painting wheels, got a waterpump and thermostat to do, the valve cover gasket needs doing and I may do the Vanos O-rings at the same time. Underbody spoiler shields are missing (Geez they're expensive..) and a fair bit of watermarking to deal with. Apart from that - he's perfect.... Look forward to learning a bit of stuff and sharing a bit of knowledge on here... I'm also on bimmerfest. Cheers Stuart.

Its a matter of taste. Theyre a hell of a car. Would much rather prefer one of these over an e30 m3 as theyre blimmin gutless and a bit boring to drive.

I've been quiet.. sitting in the background.. thinking of things to do.. My list grows! But in the last week: - CCFL Angel Eyes ordered - 7500k Fogs ordered Seems my Vogtland springs aren't sitting captive, so need to sort this.. But she is hardly driven at present so keeps slipping the mind. But got some shots of her, she's still sitting semi-pretty Inspection II, Subframe are also on the to-do soon... Needing a lotto ticket as the list grows!

Replacement 4.3 V8 waiting to go in, old 4.0 V8 just removed. Benefits will be a more modern engine with all the usual variable systems etc, 20% more power and 23% more torque.

Twins. Crazy price, a few of us will be pretty stoked if it goes for anywhere near 18k. Sent from my SM-N910U using Tapatalk

Cheers, might just have to buy one to look at quality. Shame it's missing the M logo on the dial face.

Worth it though. Just because a car might be worth 5k or 10k doesn't mean it should be on $100 tyres for each corner. A budget performance set should be at least $1000, start to get some decent stuff in the $1500-2000 range. Depends on sizes of course. I wish this country had improved regulations on tyre quality, theres so many cheap brands out there now.
