I sent him the following message 'People don't know the value of these cars, they will be worth a lot in the coming years, just look at the E30 M3! Your asking price is very reasonable for such a sought after classic and should generate fair amount of interest'

Hey Guys, i'm looking at adapting an N62 oil pump to an M60. Having trial fitted an N62 pump to the M60 the mounting points can be made to line up the Main caps pretty easily BUT where the N62 has a flat surface on the main cap for the pump to mount to the M60 and M62 caps have a recess for the bolt head. i am considering getting some spacers turned up that will fit inside the recess and will raise the mounting surface for the pump, but was wondering if a set of N62 caps would fit. it appears that the main bearing diameter is the same between the two motors, but not the big end. Does any one out there have a set of N62 main caps around that i could trial fit Or does any one already have an answer if if it would or wouldn't work. any thoughts on either route appreciated. N62 caps M60 caps N62 Pump on M60 block Cheers Glen

Went halves with Jooles in a 96 323i coupe on the weekend. Paid $400 for it and was able to drive it home. ? Registered until the end of October and the wof ran out last Thursday. The po installed a new radiator and thermostat, but skimped on a flush so one of the first jobs is to drain and flush out the poo water. Plan is to fix some engine problems, Manual swap, suspension and brake restoration, then enter it in the 2kcup series and have some fun. Scanned the dme, cleared the fault memory and these returned after a drive. -Vanos jammed -CPS -Bank 1 and 2 fuel trim limits. To be continued..

Normally just get the complete bearing hub for the E30 - about 10mins to replace.

Just a bit more to this, a new fan clutch will initially spin up and pull air when first started cold ( a bit of wind roar), but will then disengage after about a minute or so, until heat from the radiator re-engages it for actual cooling purposes. I've just replaced mine, easy job, get right tools, careful with fan shroud etc as you lift it up to remove. Handy at same time to replace fan itself, and if really keen do water pump and thermostat whilst you are in there (taking shroud out completely). Easy as.. I personally can't see the point of (mechanical) fan delete with a clutch and fan in good operating condition...

Looks like we scored ourselves an underpowered 323i as the engine appears to be a b20 not a b25. Must have had a budget transplant. On the bright side, we may have found a wrecked manual parts car.

I really want it but worry about the chain guides / millage combo. Great car overall. One of the better examples...

Top part is the upper windscreen seal, bottom one is cowl. This is the same for my other E38' purchased last month so prices still relevant
