E30 M3s have the cult following as much for thier rarity as anything else. The E36 is a very underated car and the chassis is very good, as a daily driver I would have an E36 over an E30.

1994 e34 540i, Factory minus stereo. I've owned this for about 3 years, just been doing work on the engine general servicing as its at just over 265000kms. I've completely deleted the sunroof, in the process of getting it welded up using the same panels other than that haven't made any major plans for it yet no rush. Really nice car to drive very comfortable, its been on some big road trips from Dunedin to central north island and Gizzy to Lake Hawea, did Dunedin to Wanganui on a tank of gas! Tank is 80L. 2001 e39 540i, Just picked this one up this month, just over 200000kms, full service history and paper work, nz new, all optional extras. Brilliant car an absolute dream to drive. 1992 e36 325i ac schnitzer, You may have seen this one on trade me recently, was on 5 spoke ROH's. AC schnitzer front lip, rear lip, rear spoiler, springs and struts, front strut brace, drilled rear discs, bbs 18x8.5 235R 215F, a few other little gems, 140000km, and its JDM. Just in the process of converting to manual should be done in the next month. Very minor things wrong with the car, i was blown away at the condition of it when i picked it up.

So after about 1000km on my trip up north... this combo is working great. Did the bedding procedure on the road towards Cape Reinga I was more aggressive than EBC recommends, braking hard. First I did 5 hard braking runs from 100kph, then drove gently for 5 mins, then did 6 hard braking runs. Even on the 6th run there wasn't even a hint of fade. Drove hard on the roads up north, not much traffic up there and the cops were all focused south of Whangerei it seems. Braking from well above legal speeds was fine. Nice sharp yet linear response, easy to reach the ABS threshold. Perfectly smooth with no noise or vibration under braking so far.

Finally some quieter time to focus on the wiring side of things. Working with a full E92 M3 car loom and all modules laid out. Unravelling/depinning anything we decide that is not needed.

Mtech 1 steering wheel. Fine spline, bigger diameter version. Leather has some wear period correct patina. Stitching has separated above right spoke but the rest is fine. Overall in decent condition I would say. Look down upon other base model E28/E30 drivers with their peasant spec steering devices while you cruise along with your hands comforted by this ergonomically pleasant, motorsport inspired steering wheel. All for the measly sum of $100. A mere bargain, really. Pickup from Panmure.
