I do really think bimmersport is on the rise as the BMW car club in Wellington is non existent, I also think we should put in & organise maybe a flyer or business card type of idea, so we can leave them on other Bimmers & encourage joining as well what are your thoughts??

I know the owner of the CSL, he was trying to decide whether to sell it, or store it with me Also I have a new customer, dropped off his E30 M3, lefthand drive car for me to store, I have suggested he join Bimmersport & he will have a look & join soon, so another exotic BMW in Wellington, that we can get along to our meets!

Those good ole days aye, i remember when i brought a Valiant charger for under $2500, and that was running and on the road. That was only 10ish years ago, same condition car now is $25-30k. Im not sure the CSL differentiates itself from the base M3 enough to command the kind of money these guys are asking? But in 15 years time I'm sure i will regret not selling the house to buy one lol

Wellington's a village, I know CSL owner also, though not well. Good to hear business is humming. Is it me, or is the forum and membership picking up?!

Just make sure you use the correct glue, and correct fabric for best results. I did the wifes car earlier this year and it came out great.

The disa gasket is one of the most common vacuum leak locations too.

Ha - I wish it was as easy as reading a code and replacing the faulty part . That's not what I was suggesting, but was just trying to determine if the OP had actually had the codes read at all, as it would be strange if they hadn't been read. Even vague codes may be better than no codes.... It seems like the repair place is on the way to getting it fixed (faulty Cat?) so hopefully it'll be back on the road without any more problems soon

if you are up for a bit of DIY it costs about $100 for some nice black fabric, $20 on glue and a day in the garage to do the re-upholstering yourself. the hardest part is actually removing the headlining panel and getting it out of the car. once its out u just rip the fabric off, clean the panel, the apply glue to fabric and just press it on. cut around the edges and youre done. Pretty simple and a DIY job doesnt look any worse than a professional job. costs about 1/3 + your time.

Got the headliner back for the 38. Installed it today, includes A B C pillars and rear parcel tray. great to get it in and sorted, did internal LED upgrade as well, much fresher and improved. ready now for next weekends Napier trip
