Casually having a stroll through Zebra Onehunga as you do and spotted a standard e39 fitted with black leather Sport seats. Boot and all 4 doors were deadlocked so out with the holesaw again. Leather is fairly good and all the electrics work but god damn were they in a state of filth. The drivers seat smelled of dog, sweat and mildew and the passenger seat was just mainly mildew and old beer smell. Spent a good day of solid dismantling and cleaning of the seats. Used some baking soda and white vinegar to kill off the mould and other gross. Will be letting these air out in the sun for a couple of days before installing.

Genuine Forged Style m437 wheels. Used these as track wheels because they're extremely light for their size and width 9-10kg each. The offsets are high enough that they should 335i etc and other models with ease while also keeping fitment nice and wide. Specs 19x9 et29 19x10 et40 One front wheel has some curbing but nothing serious. Has 2 front tyres for free with heaps of tread but a couple chunks missing. Couldnt handle. Also have a set of Michelin pilot super sports to match for extra. 2k pretty firm on the price. Genuine reason for sale we are buying our first home.

M30 is a very flexible engine, for instance you can come out of a slowish corne in thrid and just let it rev out.you could do the rimutaka s in only third gear i loved mine and was happy to get back in to the 535 even after a test drive in both a e39 540 manual and an e34 540 manual. The only downside is the fuel use. They are thirsty for what they are i reckon. They are undergeared to pep up their accelleration which means they are doing about 2250 at 100 ks as opposed to about 1800 rpm for an e24 635

Cleaned and got a coat of some autoglym quick detailer. Clay bar'd the windscreen and applied 'jet seal' to it along with the lights. Noticed someone has reversed into my front number plate putting it significantly out of shape...probably better than the bumper but still. Will have to pop this off and try straighten it.

Instead of being the responsible car owner I'm not, the e30 has once again been put on the back burner. This time for my old mans XG Ford Falcon. He had a run in with a shipping container down the side of the Ute and the general paint was worse for wear. We thought we'd have a crack at it giving it a cosmetic birthday. A few DAYS of battling, using multiple pieces of 4"x2" as precision tools, tapping, beating and caressing. We were left with something that I'm happy, but on the same page, not happy with. Used PPG paints and the best gear (Sata guns and an industrial compressor) but had to battle cooler weather (Southland), bugs and general dust & debris. Hopefully something some experimenting with sandpaper, razor blades and detailing will fix. Overall, it's better than before. I will not be touching my E30 with sandpaper. Ever ?
