The old girl is getting around!

E21 for sale. ~93k miles No WOF. Failed last year with the garage coming up with some crap about illegal seats and seatbelts but fairly sure the recaro seats are stock, untampered. Didn’t have time to sort as I’ve been away oversees all year. Heading back to the UK soon, hence the sale. She just sits quietly in the garage, my old man drives it round the block routinely. She has a few little rust spots (sunroof, boot) and would want to be looked at and re-sprayed within 5 years I’d say but nothing too bad. The back right panels paint is a little faded. Cosmetically the exterior looks pretty good. Internally cosmetically pretty good also. Would re-do the roof lining at some stage. Looking for offers around the $20k mark. Will be sad to see her go, but I’ll bring a new one out from the UK in a couple years 😊 Based in Cooks Beach but could potentially get it based in Auckland for viewings. Also have an 87 525e for sale if anyone is interested

Yeah pretty much the same as me. I think you'd have to at least take the diff to someone to have the backlash measured before buying it. As you know the E9X & E8X diffs are rubbish, so finding a good one these days might be hard.

Whilst the number of Competition Pack E90s (7MA option in NZ rather than the ZCP quoted in other markets I believe) was a bit higher than the 4 units, the answer Is still zero unfortunately.

I've never found him quite so enthralling. Doubtless a great driver, but seemed (despite some racing success) to be more about showmanship than anything else, but I was raised on a diet of British and Scandinavian, and other European rally drivers. Americans seemed to worship him. Reportedly an all-round nice bloke. Just finished helping his daughter build an Audi Quattro. (In my opinion, experience, etc.)

I use HPR5 in all my own cars and most customers. I prefer the 40 viscosity and its usually cheaper especially 20L trade\special price. I also remember reading a technical thread on bobsoilguy about the base stock etc, the consensus was that is was decent.

Spotted this 1987 e24 635csi in gazelle beige with brown leather and period car phone parked in Akaroa on New Year’s Day. Also saw this 1990 zinnober red e24 635csi and 1988 alpine white e30 325i sedan at the Vintage Car Club New Year’s Day picnic.

You’re making me nervous about when my kit comes off for rust / paint next year!
