Took it for a Sunday drive, another M5 had the same idea. We are also now pass the 70k mark, hoping we get less dramas going forward.

I pulled an M44 from the scrapyard with 90,000km on it. It's mint inside, doesn't need a rebuild at all. But my Dad is keen on a project so has been refreshing it for his E36 318is. A bit unrelated to the rest of the thread but we took the disassembled motor to my Dad's friend from when he raced porsches. He used to build the porsche race motors, but more crucially he also built the super tourer S42s, S14s along with many M42/44. I noticed these nice looking boxes in his garage while we were there. Full set of S42 pistons, rods, cams, bunch of other parts too. Porsche 962

on part 61120016012, i got one from Fabian at Coombes here in Hamilton. in fact i got 2, one for my E46 and the same for my E39 a few years later and mapped the wires based on different colors. Fun fact the E39 one does the same thing, but uses different colored wires, is NLA and cost a bomb.

Should be sorted now, there was a minor configuration issue from the site being moved to new hosting earlier in the week.

Tomorrow the internet connection for bimmersport is going down, theres a reasonable chance I'll have it back up tomorrow night at the new place. In the meantime there is a new crew that are going to host it, they have a copy of the site as of tonight but theres been some issues around changing the name servers in time. Best case its back up tomorrow night. Worst case its down a week or so while the issues with the domain are sorted. Chur.

Took these a week or so ago (average quality pics though 😁) after picking it up from getting service and cambelt/water pump replaced. It's so nice to drive. It's been years since I owned a manual. Going to take it out for a run to Taupo and back today.
