Its not F1, it’s DD Linear DLX-F177 speakers.i had the same tweeters and they were good but nothing super special. Not sure if theres much value in it. Rip out headunit and processor. Replace with some BT / carplay unit with onboard DSP. Then rip out rear screens and boot speakers and sell them off. Used old gear doesn't have a market here so wouldnt expect to recover much from it.

For anyone who knows their car audio, that is probably worth buying for the extras alone. F1's and those v12 amps are still pretty serious kit. The fact that the custom paneling and enclosures have not failed after two decades is impressive in itself. Those head units in period were an arm and a leg.

Got a message from the panelbeater tonight that the cad was done. Went and fetched it after work, wasted no time as I was quite excited to have it back. Hired a trailer and jumped in the touareg to collect it. overall very happy with how it looks, yes there are some minor imperfections if you’re being very picky but for the money I paid you absolutely cannot complain. Rust hole is fixed (they chopped a piece of the cowl out to access it, then welded it back in and painted it blending up the a pillar), rust holes in firewall fixed, rust around boot seal lip fixed and painted, as well as entire engine bay/front structure painted. All of that cost half of what another shop had quoted for just the engine bay paintwork. next up I need to waterblast the underside of the car, strip out all the suspension and under seal the whole underside. If anyone has any reccomendations for a good underseal product that can be applied via brush/roller that would be much appreciated, unfortunately don’t have anywhere where I can spray.

I'm Shantelle (aka Shorty) – long-time BMW fan and former E36 328i owner. It’s been around 9 years since I was last active on Bimmersport – life got busy! I sold the E36 when I had my first daughter, and since then, I've welcomed a second daughter, built a house, and finally found myself back behind the wheel of a fun weekend toy. I’m now the proud owner of a 2010 E82 135i with DCT – black, sleek, and such a joy to drive. First thing I did was give it a full paint correction using Meguiar’s products (I’m the marketing manager at Smits Group, so naturally, I’m lucky enough to use and market products I genuinely love). I recently picked up a set of 19" BBS CH104s – they’re not quite the right offset, but I’m hoping to get them machined and refinished. They're a bit rough (and buried under about three coats of black), so I’m tossing up a new colour – leaning towards bronze... but we’ll see where I land. I've already got coilovers ready to go on and have started the DIY journey – tackled an oil and filter change myself, and took the car to Juned at Manukau Vehicle Servicing for a DCT service, rear brake pads, and a new radiator (after a surprise leak – fun!). Mechanically it's now solid, and I’m really looking forward to getting out and enjoying it. Once the wheels and suspension are sorted, the car will be re-registered as LOWBMW – a bit of a throwback for those who remember my old E36 with the same plate! Keen to reconnect with the community and get inspired again – good to be back! First two photos are pre-paint correction, car had definitely taken on a grey hue. Also my drivers door has had a VERY terrible paint job - on the list of things to fix.

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/gear-boxes/listing/5316250885 cheap custom front half, does the rear bolt up on an E30? If you need an E36 rear half to match I've got one for a box of piss if you pick it up

Don't use it and the bearings dry up or have condensation get into them

Probably a 20 -30k install in its day. Looking like Alpine F1 components, IE scanspeak made speakers. Seen those at $1200 usd a pair second hand not that long ago. That system is very much top end alpine stuff from the day. Other than the soft top , great platform of excellent 3 way front stage. Still has kick panel mid bass position which is great compared with door locations.
