It's a very cool road! There is one corner I remember, I think it's actually signposted as a 10 or 15 km/h corner, it goes left AND uphill at the same time - the only way I had to get my VW bus around it was to keep the power on, and leave a cloud of tyre smoke around it otherwise the twist in the road meant no traction. Stopped in the republic of Whangamomona for a while too. Worth a trip if you're heading that way and got a few extra hours to go that way.

Possibly Graham... It leaked oil, leaked water, had tuning issues, wasn't reliable, kept shearing L/H axle keys due to play in the axle... I carried spare keys. The only chicks it pulled was ones who felt sorry for you because you owned a lemon. Not much has changed really. BMW owners still continue having these issues. BTW: I was 15 and still at school

Nice guys! Im super keen to hear of other muso's and their bands ... specially bimmersporters. Cars aren't our only hobbies ! Although it was my aim to sneak a BMW into every music video .. even if just for a bit Here is my bands stuff.

E34 540is in hellrot heading southbound on sh1 last fri arvo. Elderly asian man driving it. Missing emblems on the staggered style 5's otherwise looked very tidy.
