so looking for a bellmouth like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-213392936.htm for a cold air intake, but i need one about 5" diameter inlet, same size as E30 headlight basicly, searched trademe and thats all that came up, does anyone know where else i can get these and if theres a different name for them so i can have more luck searching Cheers, Andrew

atleast $3800 on the E30...and it needs suspension, pre/fl tail lights and afew other things no doubt...all on a $600 car lol worth it eventually! E36 is upto about $2300 thats all without really thinking about everything and doesnt include purchase price! WOW

:banghead: F#$K OFF! i agree with whats said above, why do the media give these people the time of day
-
haha i'm working on it thats for sure! new shocks, new springs, new bushes, should be sweet as, 45mm drop from the king spring superlows, if i don't like them i will spit on them but they'll do as im getting impatient and want to drive it...then notice all the panel and paint it needs
-
got the wheels on tonight, crappy pics but they'll do, looks much better in person and will look even better when its lowered abit! EDIT: HUGE pics removed
-
i did too.... i now own one.... this site reaps of E30'ness
-
there was a E36 RB20det running round CHCH about a year ago, couldnt tell you the owners name tho sorry, but atleast it shows it can be and has been done with a E36/RB combo
-
yeah im getting round to replacing the intake boot haha it annoys me when i look at it now! yeah i think the wheels will look sweet, im gonna be running Bridgestone adrenalin re001 205/55 15's, so hopefully its sticks to the road when i want it to, going in on monday to get them, can only test them round the block though so won't know how good/not so good they are 'til its complied
-
i know Koni do a set of coilovers for E30's as im getting some, dont have the details on me and dont know what theyre like as i dont have them...another option for you possibly? whats this rear strut mod? is it better to do it and be safe or not likely to need? anyone have a link to a previous post or what not? (sorry for hijacking)
-
awesome thanks for the confirmation haha appreciate it!

Just quickly checking, as im sending my new rims in on monday, is a 205/55 15 tyre gonna fit nicely/properly on my 15x7's? The guy i deal with said they will be 5mm narrower than the rim but it wont be noticable or something(was like oh gay wish i knew stuff about tyre sizes at this stage), don't want stretched tyres or rubber bands, but i know nothing about tyre sizes so... input please Cheers Andrew
-
sorta wish i'd done that to begin with! i wanted to but the old man had a wah about it, but realisticly i dont have the space or skills haha
-
oooooooooooh!, I dunno, I have grown to like the wee chrome accents here and there... hmmm will think about it, I did tape over the chrome with black electrical tape...didn't mind how it looked at all, can always get things Re-chromed at the end of the day! haha least of my worries at the moment, should be worrying about compliance
-
+1 with all thats been said
-
Cheers, whats shadowlining? too lazy to google atm
-
so got my new wheels, Avanti Sa11's from memory(got pics), more progress, going to get tyres in the next few days, got a good deal on Bridgestone RE001's so will get them on the car and get some pics!
-
bloody compliance aye! such a shame people dont just ring up and put the rego on hold! if i had brought mine a month or two earlier it could have been put on hold.. damn it what discs are you upgrading to and where you getting the lines from? any prices? the cars looking good all the same!! (apart from red paint) it will be all worth it when its all legal, i know what you mean when you say you just want to drive it!! good luck with compliance! let us know what they knock you back on, will be interesting to see,
-
good project!, rust under the battery tray is almost factory i reckon, crack free dash? im jelous! E30 325i 's rock...after driving mine again i can see why i brought it lol dont let yourself get demotivated! slows things down alot!

so after doing all the maintaince work (belts etc) i decided to get rid of my huge F*CKING oil leak!! thanks to mike a.k.a "323e30" for the new sump and sump guard! Sent it into DCH motorsport as it was easier/quicker...progress finally , havn't figured out why it's all up the duff on idle and below 3000RPM ish...timing marks look fine to me so will send that in when i have some more money. got to get a new intake elbow as mines cracked...suprise suprise! and afew hoses look like they're past it...not sure that will help though, they also told me my radiator looks like a 318 job...it's doing the job for now until its complied etc though . Had a look at the bronze Avanti wheels they sell at DCH, afew of the e30 series guys run them i think, so a set of them will be on the list now (about $165 a wheel, $660 a set from memory if anyones interested)
