whoops overlooked that! haha, the kit makes them look small in the sense u cant go any lower...any lower and you'd be scraping on everything though i'd say! as for 16's, it would be VERY cool!!
-
has anyone got a picture or two of these fitted on their E30?? i REALLY like these and even more after seeing them in the dark hyper silver as shown in one of the original photos( im sure a paint shop can get the current white ones looking silver easy as!) but think they might look too small for just a streeter/sunday toy... the right sort of tyre would set it off with out looking like balloon tyres i suppose? photo's, opinions...throw them in! wheels : http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....=15987&st=0 Cheers Andrew

iv'e been laughing at myself over it so glad its almost funny to others! i'd go give it a try now if it wasn't raining been sitting in for a year so no doubt it will bloody hard to turn...my luck haha Cheers
-
yeah, i'll get a video tomorrow if it's not raining, it's a project car so was expecting wee niggly things like this to happen

cap just spins and spins without the key, i unlock it and i can sit there for 5mins just turning the cap itself and no progress!
-
i cant for the life of me get my petrol cap off! ive turned it with the key in the cap, out the cap, pulled at it, pushed at it and all it does its spin and spin... theres probably a really easy solution so someone please slap me around the face with it!! cheers, Andrew

its a good rule of thumb BUT I wouldn't totally rely on that, my car used to have a MPH speedo when a previous family member owned it and when i brought it, it had a KMH JPN as the original crapped out
-
looking good! as a few other have said, like the colour!
-
Quick picture, this is basicly the worst in the boot(thats not in a difficult place!), its like this under the battery also, even has a hole
-
thanks! yep it's mostly surface or very early on, driver door has a patch below the trim peice thats eaten through, sunroof panel has a tiny bit but im eying up a new panel on trademe at the moment so might not be a problem , boot was the worst because the aerial had been snapped off so there was a fairly big hole for water to come in, after the rust, it's just getting the clutch system sorted so it can select gear and move, Probably a dummy WoF to find some more things wrong then, the re rego process, sounds all so easy no doubt there will be some hold backs, its the way these things go, and ive got the failthful E36 to run around in so atleast theres no pressure!
-
Update: Still dealing with the rust in the boot, exciting stuff
-
this is true haha not a no1 priority atm
-
just double checking hazard button wont click in and stay in, so you have to sit and hold the button for your hazards to constanly go, definetly gonna fail WoF/re-registering test yes? cheers

Update; Sunday and Mondays progress (19-20 opctober 08) Rust attack, my first attempt ever, not the hardest thing in the world to do tho Before After sorry if the images are too big, Cheers, Andrew

Recently I brought a manual 1986 325i to save and do up to its former glory. It's de reg etc, and it has rust , and more rust , got it home and found what looks like the original rego from london , pulled the build sheet from under the back seat and put it in a folder so no bugger rips it off and throws it out, and a set of p/plates off a 318i with receipt in the boot [HERM1E] along with the p/plates actually on the car [1TZ US], so theyll be sold when i sort them out (ownership etc) aaaanyway, Basic plan at this stage is to get it moving (clutch or master/slave cylinder, wont get its geriatric arse into gear!) and as rust free as i can so i can get it down to be re-registered and WoF'd again, then once it's all road legal again continue tidying, paint panel etc more pics to come when i get around to it Cheers, HT
