Straight swap, all the above bits needed, don't forget the gearbox bracket as well. Same ratios, as it's the same box.

Hi, should be a metal tag behind one of the back cover bolts with the ratio on it.

Offset goes the other way, 42 will have them on your struts at 7.5 I believe.

according to realoem part numbers, the E36 manual after 6/96 is the same as the E46 manual box, so should swap in?

IMHO not worth more than what you paid, but you never know? There are lots out there for a lot less than that, and in very nice condition.

Pm'd thanks, wider question for mechanics out there. What are the advantages of carburation as opposed to fuel injection? I'm building up a M30 3.5 for a race car, and don't want to go turbo, are these an option, and why? Thanks.

Are you sure it's the heater and not just coming in thru the rust hole? Is the water level going down in the radiator? I've had wet floors from rust holes around the loom entry behind the glovebox.
