I believe 1991 is the magic year. If first registered in NZ before then it's not too bad, around 350 if no problems, and you have proof of previous registration. That was the year frontal regs came into force I think.

Would say it's unlikely to be a M sport, and if the rust's as bad as you say, probably not worth much either, less than 2k would be my guess.

Such wisdom for one with so few years Gus I must agree, if you want to play, get an older BMW, E30's are excellent for this, otherwise, as Glenn says, you really want a complete donor car for all the bits you need. Get a nice 318 for your driver and spend your developement cash on another car for occaisions, did I mention E30s.

We use Toyo R888's in the race series, seem to grip really well, would have no hesitation in reccomending. Road legal as well.

Just drained mine, removed the lines and blocked the outlets. Works fine. Use the power steering resevoir as my gearbox breather.

IMO all guesses based on tm prices and what I've sold. I'd think they are prices the bits will go for, lots of sellers ask a lot more but don't sell a lot? Depends on cond and demand.

IMO it's not the cars that are doing the damage but the idiots behind the wheels. Bit like guns eh, it's the people who do the killing. Whatever you do there'll always be that group who get around restrictions by getting daddy to buy and insure there cars. I believe it's a culture we've bred thru media exposure and a lack of parental control. Most of us have been there and done that but some always push too far. Answers? I have none, we've made our bed and now we have to live with the consequences. If it wasn't for the innocents being killed, and if they could be confined to certain areas, I'd say let them go for it, with conditions such as, no booze etc. I'd rather see Police resources being used in other areas.
