Yeah Martyyn, often play the same game, got caught once tho with a really low reserve and no other bids, got a bargain tho, price you pay for games I guess.
-
If no bids, easiest way is to do what you suggested, wack up reserve and buynow to whatever and let it run. That way it costs you nothing.
-
That's a good deal, $45 cheaper than subscribing direct to mag in UK.
-
Maybe, but check this thread, and if needed, take out the glovebox and see if you can see anything in behind it on the firewall. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=7122

Hi Gus, E30 cars are running toyo R888's 205/50/15's, cheapest you can get apparently, none in the country at the moment, apart from the ones on my car. Hope to have my car at Puke on the 25th, will let you know what they're like then. Still have some carpet locks if you need.

Thanks Andy, I found it easiest to take the gearbox off, and take the motor out the top. Torx bolts on the box aren't too bad, the top ones are hardest to get at, but if you put a trolley jack under the back of the box and lift it a few inches it swings the motor foward a bit and makes the bolts easier. Don't forget to unbolt the torque converter first, remove the rubber boots on the front of the box and using a screwdriver lever the ring gear around till the bolts are accessible thru the front hatch. There are 3 of these, and once out it's just a matter of either removing it right away, or propping the front and taking the motor out. Also don't forget the cable from box to throttle. With the radiator out there's lots of room, just make sure that all your pipes etc are undone, and it should lift out, nothing else needs to come off. Good luck. I did my first in and out in a day, so it can't be too hard.

What E30 Andy, 318, 320 or 325?
-
Hi Andy, the shroud will go back on soon although it doesn't seem to have any heating problems with it off, the air intake is a Pipercross Viper Induction System - Carbon Fibre, feeds from the front valance. Badge is Hartge came on the car, aftermarket, probably take off at some stage.

Hi, can someone who goes to these tell me the setup, I want to get some seat time in my E30 race car, but it's not warranted yet. What do you need to have done to it to track it? What's the story with these days, do you just turn up, or what? Thanks.

Hi, easiest to open a Paypal Account and pay by credit card. Most sellers accept paypal now. I've been using it for about 4 years and have had no problems, just stick to reputable sellers, I try to use high volume sellers when I can, seem to be more reliable. Other thing to try to do is limit your purchases to under $400, that's the threshhold for duty and GST. Hope this helps, cheers.

Thanks Gus, will ring both tomorrow and get costs. Anyone else interested in bulk buy?
-
Hi, the $130 is NZ dollars. Will ask if they meet safety standards. Thanks.

Looking at a set of stainless brake lines for my E30 on Ebay at the moment, landed here for about $130, which is half of what I've been told they cost here. Anyone aware of any problems with getting these, such as compliance matters and standards? Thanks.

Hi, decided it was time to post some pics of the car. It has the rear suspension setup, but is still sitting on the std E30 front, just waiting for the race spring setup to be finalised. It's also sitting on 60 series tyres on Conrod's old baskets at the moment, 50 series tyres shouldn't be far away.

They should have the website up on Monday the 14th, www.bmwraceseries.co.nz

Hey conrod, how come he rings the rest when they leave their numbers, but gets you to keep bidding? Something to do with the dirty talk you reckon?
