  1. Happy Birthday Grant, see you at the weekend.
  2. I think most of us are doing the Saturday twilight testing Jack. Will have the spare seat and belts fitted. May not be able to Jack, regs state no passengers, sorry.
  3. OK, just to let everyone know, the BMW race series comes back to Hampton on Sunday for a one day meet. If you ever wanted to come and have a watch this is the day to do it. 6 groups of cars, 3 of them BMW's, so every second race is a BMW event, come and see the fun, make a day of it.
  4. ABS don't have lines as such Andy, just wires and sensors in the wheel hub, the abs unit is in the engine bay and controls the brakes from there.

Sorry Brad, the 88 is still the M20B25 engine I think.
  6. You really need to see someone about this Andrew?
  7. Time catches up with us all at some stage.
  8. I believe it's a straight swap, but think you will need to change the computer to the non vanos one. All the electrics are the same, so no need to swap them or the loom, should all plug up. A bit of mid range power loss, but otherwise the same, not a big difference at all.
  9. Let's see who can find his next alias first.
  10. I can understand the anal ones who do spend the time making it all look good, but I'm with you, mine aren't works of art, but I do try to make them go good. Love the short intake, does the fact that you're forcing the air in the intake change the need for having the runners at factory length?
  11. Not yet Jon, but the precedent has been set with Marty's, so hopefully should be ok, but I will ask in writing, got to do it right, eh.
  12. Can someone sort out Steve's pic problems, would love to see them.
  13. Actually, seeing as you brought it up, I have 5 E28's at home, and 3 more at Marty's. 1 race car, 2 with reg on hold, and 5 shells in various stages.
  14. Marty has a 3 inch one on his going down by the firewall, seems to fit, there's quite a lot of room there once the exhaust is gone. I think the trick is to keep the runner from number 6 fairly low and tight to the motor. We did the opposite on the M54, used a E28 on one side and a M20 on the other in Steve's e30, but that is to clear the brake booster.
  15. And that you had a big brother, eh Jon.
  16. Would be more than interested in your ideas on a cam grind for the M30 Steve, also what wastegate size I should be using with that holset turbo I bought, intending to use 12 lb boost max? Engine has 9 to 1 cr, 3.5 lts, max 6500rpm.
  17. Looking good Jack, the mirror just twists in, from memory you put the front in and pull it back to clip the back in, it's spring loaded.
  18. Have another E28 at home with a M30 in it, going to strip the exhaust side and get the car to a guy to build the exhaust manifold for the turbo. Will dummy everything up in this car before putting in the race car, easiest that way.
  19. Marty needs to get his mojo back and get it on the track. He needs motivating. And No, I don't want him beating me.
  20. Well it is xmas time eh?
