Got offered a 1991 E34 M5, with a lot less k's and NZ new today for $18,500. I wouldn't have thought it would be worth as much as that, maybe around the 16k mark? Lovely car by the sound tho, good luck with the sale.

Marty's the man, calls himself BM Weapon for some reason? Just look for the guy with the smelly knickers when he comes back from a drive. -
Only when she's got a paper bag handy.

Engine's in the car Bruce, all hooked up, but I'm not getting it to fire at the moment. I have 12v at coils, and am getting fuel pre prime, but no injector pulse, coil pulse or continuous fuel pump, so am presuming at this stage that I'm not getting a crank signal, ie, the dme doesn't know the engine's turning over. I have the chips installed to convert the Hall signal to a VR one, and have tried the M44 Crank sensor as well, both these are supposed to work, and are working overseas, which doesn't help me. Have now gone as far as welding a sensor mount to the front engine cover, and fitted a M50 wheel on the front to see if that works, have also just fitted a new engine loom, so fingers and all crossed, I'll try again tomorrow.

AFAIK you don't have to weld the nut on to the plate, people do it because it's easier to install like that. My first cars weren't welded on, and they were checked and passed.

Sorry guys, slap me around the ears, but I reckon the proportion's all wrong, rims are too big for the car. Look like big ears on a small head. -
TV would have been so wrong on your car Nath, I agree with John, I reckon you've got it right.

I see now, bit early for me. -
At least with the black they'll have a good resale, I mean who in their right mind would go for homax purple?

Maybe a session going the other way, but would put me off if it was 50/50. it's a novelty thing and wouldn't achieve anything as far as I'm concerned. My 2c as a race driver? -
We picked ours up for $200.

On the corner of Kerwyn Ave and Neilpark Drive, doubt they're open on the weekend at all.

Ask Gavin for on the Shore, I use a crowd in East Tamaki.

Use cap bolts, they will fit. Hex head ones.
-
Yes, no problem if you use the original mount points.

Mark both sides of the input shaft on the front, and one of the output shafts on the side, then turn the front one full revolution and see how many times the side shaft rotates. It will be between 3.45 and 4.45 times I would guess.

Hey Kerry, thanks for the info yesterday, am trying all options again and still going in circles, will go for front mount on Tuesday if nothing else works. Your car is spectacular, great to get a look at it yesterday, good luck with the knock.
