The subframe is the same. The E30 & Ti's have different mounts in the subframe & the control arm / hubs are different. I had to modify the chassis of the Ti (not the subframe) to fit the medium case LSD to get clearance because the Ti's only come out with a small case diff. Pictures are in my manual conversion thread.

I can do the repair if your in Auckland...PM your chassis# if you would like a quote Second thoughts: Maybe I should quote on fixing two cars. The alternator has probably been damaged on your car due to incorrect use of the jumper leads on your partners car.

That may be the case, I know how the system works, I repair them. The point I was making is that it is Illegal to do it in NZ and we should not be encouraging people to do this sort of thing on this forum. Encouraging members to carry out or indulge in illegal activities is also against forum rules.

Probably not the appropriate place to ask in here You could try here though: http://www.vcc.org.nz/ -
Just in case you dont know, to calculate GST content of an amount the new fraction is 3/23. so amount x 3 then divided by 23 To work out the GST exclusive value you need to multiply by 20 and divide by 23.

The point is.... in NZ it is illegal to modify the system and to fool the system. It must be legaly repaired to comply to safety regulations... end of story... anything else you may do may cause the system to either work when it shouldn't or fail to work when it should. Your call if you want to f**k with your car and other peoples lives. Just keep argueing
