True... but that doesn't account for the twisted side shaft splines. Foot on brake, accelorate, release brake, spin it up, won't do this sort of damage. Especially with an open diff
-
Give me a call in the morning (09) 2722546... I think were talking about the same thing
-
It wasn't to bad actually... 2nd hand 3.46:1 diff, new oil and a new rear diff mount

328 Auto... I won't say anymore to identify the vehicle... the owner might be on here.... cars all repaired for now... trans seems to be fine ATM
-
I can see where your coming from...especially with the low value of the vehicle

Andrew... I can understand how you feel about this..... but, if you had proper insurance you wouldn't be having all this stress BTW: Industry accident tows are always alot dearer than a normal tow. Our towing company charges $150 for an accident tow, $16 +Gst for storage per day and a normal towing fee to the place of repair, wreckers or your home. This varies on distance traveled. The people you are dealing with, and I know who they are, are a little higher with their prices. Not by much though.

You need to check live data with the scanner while driving and check the MAF sensor, it may be running out of scale and this won't trip a fault code in the DME.
-
I can't find a filter for the turbo vacuum control on ETK. Have you had it scanned for engine fault codes ??
-
Reverse at full throttle.... then drop it into drive at full throttle.... you should try it....its fun .... but very expensive. We can't even get the half shafts out to strip it completely because the splines are twisted inside the side gears.
-
No... but I don't think it's happy families ATM
-
Just hide it in the garage....my brother won't know E46... exploded diff, broken rear diff mount, tyres rooted, rubber melted in the inner guards ????

If your meaning the two slides on the end of the two regulator arms thats attach the regulator to the bottom of the window....yes they come off. Remove the two metal circlips and pull the ball socket out of the slides. Slide the slide clips out, grease the runners and fit new slides. You will need small polley grips to get the ball socket back into the new slides.

Injectors click, tappets tap, worn camshaft have a deeper tap that sounds like a small knock. An experienced ear can tell the difference. Where abouts are you and the car ?

E46 coupe - folding mirrors - how do these work?
*Glenn* replied to simke's topic in Electrical system
If your car has that option, it will have a square button next to the Left-Right switch. With ignition on just push it and they should park. -
It is Roshen's car.... user name Roshen
