I think the answer from most of these guys would be : "NO MINE DOESNT COMPLY"
  3. Approx $100. If thats what is causing it. We normally rewire the sender unit and the pump as well because the wiring on the pumps often fail too
  4. PM Veles (ance) I'm sure he will help you, but I'm sure that car of yours has a 4 cylinder gearbox in it. The kit could be different and the starter too. Not knowing how the conversion was done. Might pay to get in touch with the people who did the conversion and get more info first.
  5. 2 Men in a pub one of them decides to join in on the Bucking Bronco Machine contest He lasts over 10 minutes. "Crikey mate, that was impressive!" "I get lots of practice" Replied the other guy. > > > > > "My Wifes epileptic"
  6. Common problem....broken wire in the fuel tank sender unit. The sender unit needs to come out and be rewired
  7. Ance paid approx $1500 NZ which included freight & duty, compared to $3000 + GST for new mass & clutch kit from the stealers. Which I think is a great price for the results gained.
  8. I would strongly suggest going out and buying that mechanical warranty then.... for peace of mind

  13. Yes But I was also thinking of going M54 3.0 litre with the M52 head, M50 manifold, throttle body, shrick cam, valve spring upgrade, bigger injectors, no Vanos, link, alloy flywheel, AND MANUEL with LSD Its only money
  14. I my 318Ti because its different The power M52B28 Because its all done properly, brakes, suspension etc.. etc Its great to drive & handles like a dream And its friggen quick AND ITS GOT A CERT
  15. Not really... it's my living $$$$

  17. I luv BMW's > > > > > > BECAUSE THEY BREAK
  18. Unfortunately... the price you pay for getting an import at a better price. And I dont mean that in a bad way. You need to take this up with the dealer you bought it from here and see what he says. I hope it was written on the window card. In the event of something going wrong you could try hanging it on him. After all you bought it on the understanding it still had dealer warranty. And yes I would buy a mechanical warranty, just to cover yourself

The problem though...is that not many of these cars are certed and most wouldnt pass because of the way they have been modified... which obviously makes them dangerous. Thats what alot on here are concerned about. Its nothing to do with freedom of choice. Its the safety aspect that people are concerned about.
  20. Norm..I have just checked with BMW NZ Your car has a 2yr international warranty It must be repaired by an official BMW agent You must pay the costs You then claim back from BMW Japan This does not include standard servicing Just warranty repairs Cheers Glenn
