  1. Only seems to suit the darker colours though... thats why I suggested it to Brian
  2. I wouldn't even do that to a Honda
  3. I like the colour.....as for the rest... a definate NO...not my cup of tea
  4. If you don't drink & drive.....you don't need them
  5. Lack of vacuum to the booster makes the pedal go hard and you loose braking efficiency. You need to push a hell of alot harder to get it to stop. Wont make it go squishy though.
  6. It may not be that though. I was only suggesting what to check. It could be a sticking one way valve or the booster itself. Bit hard to diagnose from here.
  7. Yes the vacuum line to the booster, if it leaks it would upset the idle as well and not give enough vacuum for the booster to work properly
  8. Sounds like it could be a leak from the booster vacuum line. Is the idle OK ?? Or it might be a sticking one way valve on the booster or the booster itself
  9. Looking good Brian
  10. You need to get it scanned to determine the fault
  11. You sure it is the diff ?? Have you checked it properly?, It could be a driveshaft universal
  12. I can see an M3 on the wish list next...especially after tomorrow
  13. Thank Fluk for that Flux
  14. "OLD" ?? I'll jam ya bloody bike spokes grasshopper
  15. Westy's car will be for sale for about $8,000 after tomorrow
  16. On a golf tour in Ireland, Tiger Woods drives his BMW into a petrol station in a remote part of the Irish countryside. The pump attendant, who obviously knows nothing about golf, greets him in a typical Irish manner completely unaware of who the golfing pro is. "Top of the mornin' to yer, sir," says the attendant. Tiger nods a quick hello and bends forward to pick up the nozzle. As he does so, two tees fall out of his shirt pocket onto the ground. "What are those?" asks the attendant. "They're called tees," replies Tiger. "Well, what on the God's earth are dey for?" inquires the Irishman. "They're for resting my balls on when I'm driving," says Tiger. "Fookin Jaysus," says the Irishman. "BMW thinks of everything."
  17. Medium case & small case axles are different. If you go the medium case, buy the 325I ABS axles, they have bigger joints and are stronger. I've been down all of this before...its all in another thread somewhere. I have a medium case 364:1 diff for sale. I've had it open...looks fine inside. Ive fitted new side seals and its got new oil in it. But I'm sorry, I want $300 for it + freight from Auckland Ray @ HELLBMW should be able to help you out with axles and maybe a cheaper diff Cheers Glenn

    Runing Cold

Thermostat is faulty. Its a plastic housing and one of the supports for the thermostat will be broken allowing it to stay open all the time. It comes as one piece, thermostat & housing. Check the water pump too and the transmission thermostat if its an auto...they break too. The expansion tanks on these also explode, so get it checked properly by someone who knows what they are doing. You dont want this vehicle to get overheated. You must be very vigilant with these vehicles regarding there cooling systems. The plastic cooling system components start deteriorating on all the late model cars when they get to around 5 years old. All the plastic is recycled plastic and doesnt last long. Same for Audi VW and most other cars produced in europe. Japanese manufacturers are still allowed to use virgin plastic in there manufacturing and the jap components normally last 12-15 years. I'd get your car checked pronto....other components may not be up to standard either Cheers Glenn

    M50 2.8 Swap

Hey Kerry...How's that 3 litre build coming on ?? I'm interested to see how its coming on I'm thinking very seriously about doing the same when I do the manual conversion on mine. Only problem is getting a very good M54 3 litre short block. I was thinking on the lines of: M54 3 litre short block My M52B28 head and manifolds Shrick cam (inlet) Get rid of vanos & AMF Bigger injectors Supercharger Intercooler Link ECU What are your thoughts?? Cheers Glenn
  20. Can I ask who's doing this for you ??
  21. The biggest problem with battery cars are their batteries. Battery technoligy has not been able to produce a reliable, compact, light weight, high AH battery pack to power these vehicles and give them a reliable driving range.

Hope this doesnt put you off, but you will need between $10,000 & $15,000 to do all this properly. Motor Gearbox Diff & axles Driveshaft Radiator Manifold Engine mounts Brake booster Standard or aftermarket ECU Suspension & brakes Certification And a sh*t load of hours with a good supply of beer
