Literally just got home after 4day around trip. It was the most fantastic experience of my life. Managed to get to front and it was so fricking loud my ears where ringing all day yesterday.

If I had my way, it would already be gone but Mr Bank Manager said no. I hate my job for that reason.

If I was going the SR20 route, I would pick up a SR20de engine and whack a turbo on it. Hell of a lot cheaper than the DET version and they still make good reliable power. And if they pork it, then its only another ~$400 for another DE engine. Back OT, 1UZ is where its at. All the cool kids are doing it.

At about midday yesterday, spotted a mint red tech1 e30 convertable with what appeared to 17inch ACS wheels at BP on Papanui Road. Number plate NN.... Just about crashed perving at it.

The first half on 09 was rubbish, struggled to find a job but then managed find one. Wasn't quite what I wanted to do but the job can open doors the future so there is potential to make something of it which is good. If last night was anything to go by then 2010 should be a continuation of the last 4 months. Filled with awesomeness

Haha, I actually brought that on trademe as it was for $1dollar reserve auction so I could restore it into some sense of class and for somewhere for my bunch of e30 parts to go. Unfortunately the fixed the gearbox and now wants more for it. Still gunna try and get it for cheap though

I'm starting to get the itch for another car so the way I see it, I've got 2 options. Option 1: Buy a super sweet 325, preferabley f/l because lets face it, f/l = win. But wouldn't turn down a tidy Tech1. Option 2: Find a mint f/l shell and transfer my m20b25 and manual box into. If you have got either or know of any, let me know

I originally sold it for 5k, the guy took out the springs and drove around on the bump stops. He somehow sold it on for 8k to this guy and now who knows how much this guy wants. I kinda wish I never knew what happened to it.

Is your alarm monitered? If so, when it goes off, it calls the alarm company to say 'hey I'm going off' which they then do something about. If it's not monitered, then it won't be an issue. Seeing as you don't have a phone line then I doubt its monitered.

If you are guna do a conversion at least do a good job. 90degree bends doesn't really help the air flow

PM CrazyArab, he was seriously looking at this awhile back and said there still needed a few lil niggly things that needed to be tidyed up which was the reason why he didn't buy it. If you do buy, please do something about that intercooler piping! It drives me nuts! Ca18dets are mint wee engines and are alot more free reving than the sr20 and are basically a 4 cylinder RB. It just sucks there is that much aftermarket support like there is or other Nissan engines.

This. Whenever you have Broadband you need filters on every jackpoint that has something plugged in, eg phone, Sky to help 'clear' the line the reduce noise on the line and get better speeds. Installing a splitter does the same job as the filter but works alot more effectively. Whenever you connect Broadband it is recommened that a splitter is installed to give greater speeds even if you don't have Sky or a monitered alarm on the line. Orcon could it for you but I'd imagine it would cost in the $200 range.

Same. Don't really keep up with any other shows except for Dexter and season 4 is shaping up good. Although its weird seeing John Lithgow as killer.

There is a place that has just opened up a couple of weeks ago here in Chch called Burgers and Beer....and thats all they sell. Had lunch there today and it was a mean burger. Best thing, there are open till 3am Thurs, Fri and Sat and own anything else that is open at the time.
