I didnt think there was a paint code Glenn. Im pretty sure they paint the wheel black, then a layer of 'silver' with a layer of lacquer over that.

If your worried about the price G, just pick one up off trademe. I got a 30gb video in 'reasonable' nick for $100 not so long ago and because its already got its fair share of scratches on the back it gets thrown about everywhere and I couldnt care less.

Hahaha priceless. My thoughts exactly though and I NEVER catch the bus.

A friend is looking to buy a 96 318Ti (stop sniggering at the back) its is a private sale (not on TM - so no photos) and he wants me to give him an approximate value. Personally I was thinking around 3-3.5k but I honestly dont know so I thought Id 'ask the audience' A few details... 96, jap import, auto, cloth, 120k kms, sunroof, aftermarket entry and immob, two airbags, sagging headliner, removable Panasonic head deck, pretty tidy all around apparently but I dont know any more than that at the moment. Any ideas on price ?

Guys, I appreciate we are trying to do some good this time rather than evil mwahahahahaha But I think its wise we keep any details strictly in PM's
-
Because they'd told me Id get 18.6 billion dollars if I logged in and sent them $5000 dollars to clear the funds first.

Hahaha Quiet day for you Brent ?

After thinking it was sold a couple of weeks back the buyer backed out at the last minute Has had a full appraisal by Page European and they said it was mint. Not even so much as an oil leak anywhere. One or two lines on the screen that dont really affect viewing the tv and the cd changer sticks once in a while. I have a set of comfort seats that Ill throw in aswell and a BMW alarm that I have never got around to fitting. Buy my car

Now, if it was in black.......

Nice one Alan. Ill have to dig out the pics when I had it with the genuine Alpinas and is lip Ive got an Alpina rear wing here if you want to spend some more pennies Not sure why is looks so high in the front it sat alot lower on the 16's, perhaps its just the angle of the photo

I do, but its always easier (and cheaper) to change the kids seats than it is the car !

Errrr the semi starvation, the drugs, the skin peels.....you dont think he only had plastic surgery do you ? The man must have had a hideous amount of pain killers just for the surgeries alone.
-
Are you kidding me ? After what he did to his body Im surprised he made 50 !
-
Awful, sorry mate

Thats easy....they did it without airbags, without seatbelts, without side intrusion beams, without the stupidly huge mountain buggies you can only buy these days, without the stupidly huge baby seats and with flat, massive bench seats and believe me three years apart is a god send in the moderm world of car seats. Cars are an awful lot smaller inside these days thanks to all the safety built into cars and kids seats are getting ridiculously huge but we can still get all five of us in our Focus for god sake whilst everyone around us has a chelsea tractor or a bus.
-
Can easily get three across our touring, so I would imagine the same can be said of the e34....it all depends on the seats though, we spent some time getting ones that were thin enough but it worked out well in the end.

I think the reality is you are unlikely to get anything even slightly engaging for 5k and certainly nothing in the class of a BMW. Can I ask why you need the seven seats ? If its a third child then we had the same dilema 18 months ago. My wife (and everyone else for that matter) insisted we needed a seven seater. Her entire reasoning was based on the possibility we might need to take one or two of the kids friends to football practice or something. We looked at a few cars/vans and I threatend divorce on the Honda. In the end I pointed out that we only ever take the kids individually to their sports and so there is plenty of room for others if we got a touring. One of us usually stays with the baby anyway and if there is something after school, Im at work, so theres the spare seat she craved. If weve had family to stay then there has always been more than seven people and so weve had to take two cars anyway and Id rather do that for the odd occasion than drive a bus all day with only two people in it. My sister went the Odyssey route and its the most hideous thing Ive even seen. Even with all that 'so called' space they can rarely get seven in it thanks to all the child clobber they have cart around, the buggy takes up one of the seats for a start. We can actually fit more in our touring than she can in her bus and I dont have to get out and push when going up hill. Sorry if this is irrelevant but its worth asking the question.

So, last three nights in a row Ive had to drive home (through the CBD and up Aro Valley) behind twats with their rear fogs on. So Ive driven the entire way behind them with my xenon, main beam and front fogs and they havent even looked in their mirror to see what the fuss is about ! How can people be so unaware of whats going on around them ?

Thats what matters most and covering holes is always a bonus, I just remember seeing the lips on the e39's and they were closer to the edge thats all.
-
Should it not sit another half an inch further back Nick ?
-
Keep the handbags to yourself fella's. The first comment was innocuous enough, although how much it brings to the discussion is arguable....the rest has been removed.

Another vote for Paul. Sorted my touring out very nice a couple of weeks ago. Well worth supporting BS members if you can too.

And yet you have the time and money to rip apart a perfectly good car to slap in an m42 ? There are plenty of half decent 325's around for not a lot of money.Someone else said this on a previous 'I want more power' thread, why do people buy 316's and then decide to rip them apart and put in a bigger engine? Just buy the bigger engine in the first place and save yourself all the trouble of getting an e36 engine into the 316.
