Im not entirely sure but I remember reading somewhere that replicas have BMW center caps and genuines wheels have Schnitzers because they are a different size. Is that correct ?

You think we should be condoning illegal behaviour instead then ?What a stupid comment to make.

Please tell you guys are ok. What the hell happened ?

Thats a fair point Jeremy but I wasnt getting any takers when the touring was at those prices either. Ive spoken with the owner and know exactly where he is coming from and why he has priced it at that amount so the 15k really isnt an issue for me. Im not sure that I would be swapping to simply sell on, Id keep it for a while for some fun or until the car I really want comes along. If I can release 7-8k now and sell it for around 10-11k later then it could be worth it. I have my reasons for needing a quick bit of money that I wont be going into on here.

He wants a touring and is interested in a deal. I dont 'hate' e36's, Im just not found of them. Id also consider this easier to sell than mine in the current market and if there is a deal to be made that I couldnt refuse then it might be a goer.

Forget the price the guy is asking for I already know its high and I dont want another thread going way off topic. I dont know alot about e36's so I want people who do to give me an indication of what they think this car is worth and what any potential buyer should be looking for. Visit My Website Im not interested in any other vehicle on TM other than as a price comparison. I can see several on TM for 3-4k less but they have all done 70-80k more and I can see only one other at this kind of milage and condition and its similarly priced.

Im sorry mate but youve fallen for the oldest trick in the book. Getting worried about the numbers 1 and 0.Its just not true that BMW arent built to last for 10 years or 100kms. Ive been around more twenty year old BMW's than I care to imagine and they have all still been driving along quite happily. 100kms is just a joke, Ive seen dozens of e32's with just shy of 300k MILES still starting first time every time, being used as daily's simply because they drive so well. Its funny that number 100 because its the same in the UK, only its 100k miles that everyone wets themselves over. There will be a multitude of people on here with cars having done intergalactic miles and they still drive beautifully.

So you said you would buy it and didnt show, not even the decency to give him a phone call to explain why? I wouldnt be treating you too kindly if you did that to me either.

Unfortunately there is little you can do about it after its been done. Just delete the PM and forget about it. Im sure one of the admin blokes will be able to sort it out.

If any of our resident sponsors or wreckers know where this ends up, can someone please let me know. Smashed e39 motorsport

Go for a 740 Iain, you wont be disappointed. Plenty of them around at the moment for not a lot of money. Oh and it will be a damn site quicker than your 535

Found them.....European Leather Care, Scholes Lane, Petone 5662001

Seeing as you appear to only have joined in order to sell your car Ill give you the benefit of the doubt for the moment and a couple of tips.... 1. Get some decent photos 2. Put up a price, this is the 'for sale' section and the forum rules clearly state you need photos and a price. 3. A proper description would help too, auto or manual for a start. 4. Confirm that you have proof its a genuine Schnitzer model, wheels and a bodykit dont mean anything unfortunately so it needs a little more than that. Do all of those and you might get some interest, do neither and I can guarantee you you'll get nothing.

Im sure Ive mentioned this before but Ive NEVER seen Alpina replicas in anything other than 17's. If you want 20's you'll have to buy the real thing.

E39 Headlights: any relation between year and colour?
martyyn replied to Avenged.SSE's topic in Appearance
I wouldnt be so sure Nick. I know the e38s there was a single year (2000) that had the crystal rears with orange before moving to clear in 2001. It could well be the same for the e39 fronts around that time. -
The blokes out in Petone, cant remember the name but I can remember where they are. Superb work on my 7 a few years ago and they were the people to refurbish the Beehive a while ago too.

I just heard them say on the radio that the rain caused a huge pile up somewhere today. I had to laugh, the rain didnt cause anything, its the stupid NZ drivers thinking they can still drive up each others ar$es that caused it !

i suggest you ring Keith, he's mentioned before he's had trouble getting PMs from here.

Multi function steering wheel ?

I suggest you get hold of the seller. Alky at Eurolights is a top bloke and will give you a 10% discount if you mention Bimmersport. I bought mine from him just before xmas and had similar sorts of questions. In the end I paid the extra to have the xenon and they fitted everything up for me so it was a simple plug and play when they were delivered. Send him an email and tell him what your thoughts are and go from there.

Being English, as I am, and therefore certified tea expert I can categorically tell you that Bell is worse that cats pee It has to be PG tips all the way.

Oh and thanks need to Gavin at Euro Italian for getting me the lock covers. Ive had little success getting them from anyone else but he said he had a contact overseas and true enough they arrived six weeks later. It makes all the difference having the ugly locks covered up.

The ride is much stiffer in the rear now and although I was really interested in the aesthetics of the drop I didnt want to sacrifice the handling or ride at all. Lets not forget its a touring not a race car ! I can really feel the size of the rear tyres now too, it really sticks when you give it some around the corners I spoke with Keith for a long time about it months ago and the Vogtland springs are only a subtle drop to the front. Everything Ive read about the rear has said I can get away with a 30mm drop with no problems for the original shocks so Im happy.
-
Next step....the rear suspension. Its taken a while since I got the front springs in but good things come to those that wait After a fair amount of research and trying various things I finally found out that all I needed to do for the rear was to get it to someone with the Modic software and have the computer lower the rear ! Unfortunately the only place in Wellington was Jeff Gray. Anyway thats another story that Ill explain later. So it went in yesterday and here are the first shots. When it was hooked up to the computer it immediately said it was too high and it adjusted itself automatically but I still wasnt happy with the height so I got them to take another 10mm off. When I get to work Ill take some more shots at the car park to compare with the others on this thread but I got these two for now. Im pretty pleased with the difference I have to say. Overall its come down around 30-35mm and Im well happy with the difference. here's what it used to look like and a final one of it to match the others
