Warm beer....cold larger.....pffft

Here's an example of the subjective part of Johno's post. I had the SP Sport 01's on my e38 and I wasnt impressed at all. Quiet yes but for the money I expected them to last an awful lot longer than 18 months and only around 14k kms.Johno's post made a lot of sense. Ask 12 people on here and you will get 12 different suggestions. Do some searching on this forum and do some overseas research if you really want to, but I havent driven anywhere else in the world that uses the course chip we have over here so Id take it with a grain of salt !

HAHAHA, Im here all week...try the fish

FBMWSH to me tells me the owners have looked after the car and replaced anything thats needed replacing. The high kms is a bonus because it scares everyone off over here, but if we dont need the engine I want to know that everything else has been taken care off. We probably wont have the car for a week or two yet but when we do I stick up photos etc.

Nah, the weight is fine. There have been plenty of people doing it with 325/328's in the US so thats what we are taking as a base. Its going to be fun :0

Well, car has been found and bought and electric motors etc were brought down to Wellington today. We picked up a NZ new 328 manual off trademe, who wants to buy an M52B28 engine....sold and serviced by BMW dealers for its entire life ? Ill have to start something in the projects thread when we get the car down here.

My initial concern was that hey had stolen another picture. I recognise the car, but not remember who the owner is. [e] It should be pointed out that initially they were using a photo that Eurolights use. This seller has since changed it to the photo of 'edirty' and my initial reaction was that they have stolen that one from on here.

The seller seems to have a problem undesrtanding copyright law in NZ ! Visit My Website

E36 Rack into an E30 Conversion Write up
martyyn replied to tibbs.james's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Nice work Jimmy. Always good to see decent write-ups of what people are up to. Title sorted too -
I suggest you have another read of the thread mate.....there are only a couple of posts so it wont take long.
-
Hahaha, my thoughts exactly.I can never understand why people buy cars thinking about whether they can sell them later. I buy what I want, not just so I can sell it a year or two later !
-
You need to leave it a little longer than 24 hours mate. Most people dont live on BS you know !

They are the original metric tyres and my only advice to you is to ditch them and get some standard 16' wheels for the e34 You should find the wheel options either in the owners manual or on a sticker inside your drivers door. There are LOTS of options for the e34, I would say your only limit is your budget. Standard 16's I believe are 225/55/16 but Im sure someone will correct me.

Does anyone have anything to fix these....
-
Excellent result. I was going to suggest the locksmith too, but I see its already sorted.
-
Nope, its still going.

An hour or so to go and its hit reserve....is anyone on here interested in it? I have to be honest if I had 10k lying around I would be, but I dont and so Im not. There are problems with it but its possible someone might get lucky and it may only take a couple of grand to fix it up. If so it could be a bargain. Its a big risk though.

Paint cleaner, colour restorer I dont know what its 'official' title is but Ive used the Meguiars 3 step stuff on several old cars with amazing results. I think step 1 is what they call a 'cleaner' but what it does I dont know.

A clay bar is a 'stripper' rather than a cleaner. Its aim is to remove the layers of polish/wax to get you down to the layer of paint so you can use a paint cleaner to take care of the clouding.Clay is superb at its job, its just that fixing clouding is not it !
-
They do sometimes come up on trademe but your more likely to get them from ebay....you'll save yourself some cash too, most of the ones for sale in NZ have been almost twice the price.
-
I think it looks pretty spot on as it is

Thread cleaned up....try to keep it on topic please people. Sure Andre3000 is trying to sell something that others are prepared to give away free, but its not necessary for everyone to give him grief over it. Ive kept plenty of stuff I shouldve binned but so far its always come in useful for someone.

Im with Simon on this one, you should be applauded for continuing with the auction. You cant blame the guy for trying because everyone does it these days and if you really want something you sometimes have to be prepared to play dirty.Good on you for keeping it open though and giving everyone else the chance
