  1. From what I remember it has a few 'issues', so if anyone is serious tread very carefully.

    Engine hoist

Ahhhh things may have changed on this front, we found a website today where pages of BMW's that have been done, 2002's, e30's, e36's, even an e60 turned hybrid. With that in mind we found an e36 318 on TM in red that he might be interested in Its going to be a long term thing, but I intend to make a project thread out of it. Should be great fun. Thanks Bravo, he will be reading anything he can find at the moment !
  3. It would help to know where you are.
  4. I cant give you much information other than yes, I think you do have to drill holes in the body and then put the clips into the holes. The panels then push into the clips in the car. Im sure someone else will come along and explain it better than that ! You might want to edit the photos to be thumbnails that open out to the big picture too, these are huge !
  5. If anyone wants to buy these shocks please contact the OP. He's been asked both publicly and privately to put up a price and has chosen not to.

    Engine hoist

Brilliant thanks Miles, Oh and if anyone knows of a Corolla with a blown engine please let us know No rust though, we dont want to be dealing with any rust problems, but must be a manual gearbox and include the clutch. Condition of the overall car is probably more important than price. We ideally need all this to be in Wellington too, which I forgot to mention before.

    Engine hoist

A mate of mine is looking to build his own electric car....I kid you not. But as a complete beginner with cars he is going to need a few tools. So for starters does anyone have a hoist for sale (or to loan) in the next couple of months? He is going to be converting a Corolla to electric. Its apparently been done before, he's read all the info on the web, watched all the videos etc and is keen as mustard. Although he has no experience with cars I have no doubt he can make this work, he's one of those kinds of people ! With that in mind does anyone on here have any experience with this sort of thing ?
  8. What some of you youngsters dont realise is that this is not the U2 of twenty years ago. In the mid to late eighties/early nineties they really were the best rock and roll band in the world. Although I honestly dont know how much influence they had over here at that time. [edit] horrible spelling !
  9. Buyers guide Bravo in WTB gets my vote
  10. I listened to the first song, flicked to the second as you do when your checking the whole album, and was half way through that one before I realised I hadnt been paying the slightest bit of attention to it. Sadly U2 lost it years ago

    E39 Body Kit

Admittedly there hasnt been alot recently but they do come up from time to time. Just have to keep watching.
  12. What happens when the head unit 'flips'? I wouldve thought the adapter could play your ipod music regardless of which side was playing. Does it stop playing altogether ? FM transmitters are horrible things. Ive yet to meet one that gave anywhere near acceptable quality unfortunately.
  13. Hehehe, youve got to love E32 and E38 driveways
  14. Glenn, it would be great if you mentioned these links in your project write up so all the information is in one place. Im really looking forward to seeing how this goes.
  15. Put your internet knobs away boys, another thread locked due to user incompetence. Dunzzers, seeing as you havent posted since page 1 I assume youve either got the answers you were looking for or cant be bothered with the rest of the crap.
  16. Oh man, what would you give to have roads as flat and smooth as those over here ?
  17. Mines just started doing this aswell. I dont usually listen to anything other than the radio so it hasnt bothered me. Is it possible to DIY ?
  18. I said the front Josh my friend Although to be fair I did say a set.
  19. Superb mate, thats a cracking car. I think youre right, a slight drop would look good, especially at the rear, but not by much. Its crying out for a set of euro plates to fill the front bumper though.
  20. Did you know there was a study done on text language recently and although it was marginally faster to write it, it took on average twice as long to read as normal text. The study included texters and not texters alike and even the text speak people couldnt read it as fast as they could 'proper' English. As for the 'offers' comment, either put up a price or the thread will be deleted. The rules state all for sale threads require a photo and a price. We obviously all know what a set of shocks look like, but your missing the price. Threads asking for offers just become a farce, so safe yourself the trouble.
  21. Do a search mate, Ive forgotten how many times this has been discussed. There is some priceless information in some threads.
  22. One of the most sensible things I've read on here in a long time.Well done that man
