  1. I came across these today and though they might help out a friend who is struggling with wheel selection.
  2. Rules for this section.... "Items for Sale in here - Must include a price and photo* " Lets have a price please mate. If you want offers, start an auction on TM.
  3. There doesnt appear to be much of the rear shelf left !
  4. Well I hate to burst your bubble but there have been plenty of e39 msport bumpers on TM with all the goodies youve listed for $500. You can get genuine front spoilers from overseas for not a lot more than this.
  5. So are you talking $600 for the bumper plus freight, duty and gst?
  6. Latest quote Ive received is for gbp575.....yes thats right nearly 600 quid.
  7. Jon, if you dont mind I may take you up on that offer. Obviously Id like to have it as soon as possible but if I get through all my other options Ill be in touch. Gus, did you bring an e28 tech1 rear spoiler for Will? Ive got one of those sitting in my garage doing nothing! Thanks Boris, Ive sent him a PM.
  8. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get a front spoiler out of the UK for less than an arm and leg? Everything my friends are finding is costing up to 250 quid which is a joke as the main parcel companies now charge it as 'volumetric' which means the spoiler comes in at 75kgs ! Any suggestions?
  9. Getting it properly checked out is obviously a given, but please dont assume that its a rust bucket just because its a UK import. Things have moved on somewhat since the 70's when cars would resemble a tea strainer after five years! Unless of course you know something we dont Glenn
  10. Its a cracking price if you ask me. Id hit it if I could fit into it !
  11. They're genuine M3 stripes mate.....have you not seen them before
  12. I know this wont be popular but I like what he did to the 7 and I think the current 5 is one of the best looking cars ever. Especially when its kitted out. Bangle was roundly criticised for his designs but look how many cars now have the shoulder line that he brought in. Even the latest Merc B-class has the same design.
  13. [edit] my bad, Nick has already done the translation The SA rarely (if ever) come up in the dealers computers, but there should be something on the car to describe it. Have you got the VIN and checked that online, or have you tried removing the rear seat to see if the original delivery document is still under there ?
  14. What Id really like to know is what laws are already in place that could be used to get these idiots off the street. Whenever this subject comes up all we hear are the police saying they have no powers and the politicians saying they need to make new laws but I cant seriously believe that weve made it to 2009 without the police having the powers to remove drunken idiots from the street.
  15. Hahahaha 'sadly' !!!!Your not sad about them at all
  16. You said you didnt like the term 'boy racer' yet are happy to label anyone on this thread with an opposite view to yourself as an 'oldie'.All I asked you to do was define what you mean by 'oldie' which you havent done. Personally I dont find 'boy racer' that hard to define at all. Its simply any retard who behaves in the same way as those have done in CHC. Illegal drag racing, burnouts on public road etc. Ive not made any indication on the age of those people and Im sure there are people over the age of 25 who indulge in this sort of thing as well. Im just fed up with listening to people complain about being labelled a boy racer who are then happy to label someone as 'old'
  17. Or to turn it around.....define 'oldie'. Thats what you automatically label anyone who has a different opinion on the subject.
  18. But that still doesnt give you the right to be difficult does it? Typical NZ blame culture....its always someone elses fault....'the last guy gave you grief so that means I can aswell'.When are people going to grow up and take responsibility for their OWN actions? Its what you do as an INDIVIDUAL that counts. In order to GET respect you have to SHOW respect. Some people GET respect without question and one of them is the police. You give them grief and as far as Im concerned you deserve all you get. Ive been pulled over several times, twice because the WOF had run out (to be fair it was the wifes car on both occasions so I didnt know, and it was only a couple of days) but you dont get lippy you accept what they have to say because you are in the wrong. I explained the situation and assured them it would be sorted straight away and that was the end of it.
  19. Ive always used a clay bar when Ive had dust baked on and its been brilliant. Hard work though but well worth it.
  20. Back in my youth when I needed a loan to buy a car I had to tell the bank what I was buying before they would even give me the forms to fill in....and that was only 20 years ago. These days banks give out money like confetti and we can see where that has got us. IMO its far too easy to get your licence, get the money and buy a car in NZ. There is no respect (theres that word again) for what a car is, or is capable of doing and little responsibility around alcohol either. God, I sound old.
  21. Thats the XF I think and the first time I saw one I thought it was a mazda 6 My uncle had an V12 and it was stunning. Always breaking down mind you but it was beautiful to drive. Ive also driven the supercharged XKR and that was just phenominal. I see one in CHC for 20k at the moment too.
