It takes a picture to 'visualise' something, not maths !

Sorry Graham, I didnt see you were after a manual chassis when I looked the first time
-
Sp roughly speaking this would sit between a 535is and a 540is for power and torque ?
-
It does look tidy. Seeing as I know absolutely nothing about lexus v8's can someone explain what this swap would bring to the party over and above a decent 535is for example ? I assume it would be faster otherwise it wouldnt be done, but is it a great deal faster or more torque or what?

Number two with the red lights does it for me.
-
Thats cheap but it looks like its had a hard life
-
Not me, Ive loved it ever since I first got to drive one in the UK when they came out. Fully kitted I think they are one of the best looking cars out there.
-
Brilliant stuff Graham. Im going for 89 bevvies. I reckon by the time you get it all on you'll be so desperate to get it driving that you'll give up on the beet altogether.

Be careful what you say boys, we have very strict rules about racism on this forum.

What you have to remember though is that people are always more likely to look at M3's rather than M5's simply because they perceive them as being cheaper to maintain. They will also think that the M3 is going to be a much faster, more nimble car.Give it time mate. I dont think your going to sell something like that in a couple of weeks. Ive seen a couple of M5's come up in the last 12 months. Some have been asking well over 20k, those that Ive seen sell have gone for much much less. There arent many buyers around at the moment and those that are looking to buy are having to sell first.

My understanding was that turbines were designed to actually channel air into the brakes. That alone makes them cool I would agree that they are seriously 80's retro though and that throwing stars are by far the better looking.
-
Its a simple answer from me really. Dont do it. You have a cracking example of an M5 and you would devalue it greatly (IMO) if you put anything else on it.

^^^^ Check out the sig Its look good, but I dont know how it gets away with its ar$e looking that big when the 7's get so much grief !

Some people just dont understand sarcasm.....

Yes your honour. I killed those people with my reckless driving, but you have to admit I held the drift pretty well dont you think.

Im no expert in W7 Bravo but my understanding is that its a fully functional OS. No real problems last night, it didnt detect my wireless so I loaded the vista drivers and so far I can run everything I had on XP other than daemon tools. Gus, you cant get it any official way now (that Im aware of) but Im sure you'll be able to find it all over the place. The magazines are a month or two behind here and they came with the keys too. So far Im impressed, marginally quicker than my XP installation, wont install Oracle 10G that I need for work but it will handle 9.
-
No-one has said dont buy it, just to be careful thats all.Anyone who is going to look at the car will find out whether he has fixed the issues or not simply by starting it up.

I got a copy from one of the numerous websites that are still uploading it, but ended up using a copy a mate had off one of this months PC magazines
-
Just installing it now. Pretty simple install after wiping the XP installation, didnt have any drivers for the wireless in my 9300 but once I installed the vista ones its updated everything else automatically. I wasnt having any problems with my XP setup, I just wanted to try this seeing as it appears to be getting good press. So, anyone else running it at the moment.

Does it have four doors and manual ?
-
My friend is wavering between doing a Corolla or an e36, so to steer him in the right direction I want to know if anyone has a decent e36 for sale. As cheap as possible, must be manual, NO RUST, dont care what condition the engine is because its being ripped out and needs to be as light as possible so 316/318 and must have four doors. Let me know people.
-
Lovely, Ill give you a shout when it gets a bit closer. He's trying to wok out whether its best to do this to a Corolla or an e36

Some people have no responsibilities other than themselves

Let me put it another way then. It has a list of error codes as long as your arm and there is no-one down there who can investigate them properly, let alone confirm what any of them mean. You really will be buying the car blind unless you get down there and drive it to a BMW dealer yourself. There was plenty of interest in it last time and it still didnt sell at 12k. If it needs a new gearbox you can bank on 6k at the very least.
