  1. Welcome & great looking E46
  2. Doesn't matter where it faces but turn to face you so that you can get a good aim to release the joint -eg L/H side - have full left lock. Heavier the hammer the better (within reason)
  3. Bloody computers!!! Pushed the button several times cos it didn't work - at least thought it hadn't
  4. Have had the similar issues with a couple of nav units before - not packaged well enough & I reacon these postage pricks dropkick them all the way here Just to clarify on the fuse front - Red = 10amp, Brown = 7.5

  8. Mark From memory the tweeter wiring plug connects to a crossover circuit board in the front of the door. As Yuen said - yes you will need someone with a scanner to reset Airbag system. Agents or any decent sparky should have one
  9. I certainly wouldn't have an Ex Singapore that age but reacon a young car (2-3 yrs) to be ok -before the gremlins have set in Tis a nice car though but still prefer the E30 M3 over 36 - more character I reacon
  10. Post a pic of the light to identify for sure
  11. Looks like scrutineering needs to cast close eyes over a certain "car 39" at the next outing for illicit devices - might be faster for more than one reason
  12. Sooo, What have you been doing wrong then??
  13. Hi Steve & welcome - yep you have the locking sorted - just hold your tongue right . Being 99 (as is ours) your radio has the earlier radio tuner in it -pre 09/01, whereby it is Jap specific & cannot be reprogrammed to suit here. Only optios are: Band expander - CRAP Replace the radio tuner - GREAT - I have one to suit your car Nav - Can also sort this for you - Brilliant system as others with will agree Best to PM me for details Cheers Grant
  14. OEM in dash system best by far Can also fit DVD player to system as well if desired
  15. As a sparky, I agree - although it can be done, it shouldnt. As already said - some unsuspecting future buyer will have no idea of this & although, yes it could be identified when looked for - who would suspect to look for in the first place? No, it wouldn't throw a code either as the mat resistance is being replicated so there is nothing out of sinc as far as airbag diagnostics are concerned. Agreed, price will often come into this equation as a reason to cheat it - maybe this issue should be looked at by the franchises/suppliers? Also agreed - in this case there will likely be no problem in regards to airbag deployment, but this doesn't make it right.
  16. Sorry guys - stand corrected on this - got caught out on the transitional one - CD53 is obviously the full NG version
  17. Ollie, No, will get some organised & post soon
  18. I would say you need to change the mirror glass - these are assembled as either LHD OR RHD
  19. Great site. As is shown - the old E12 has a pretty leisurely time of it - hardly run in..... We bought (one owner) in 94 @ 85000km Cost per Km to run is a bit scary looking at this
