I had to laugh when I had the M5 in the club concours a few years ago when they asked to see my battery. I had to think, then realised I'd never seen it and didn't have a clue where it was! When we found it, it was natuarally covered in dust and I got docked plenty of points.

I never had so much fun than in the M5 crossed up over Mobil at Puke at about 150kms (just about to hook 4th). I want it back sob, sob

Thanks Murks, found one, but now realsie it was the electrical thingy on the end I need so will get it checked out by a sparky. Probably now have an ignition for sale if you want to start a collection! $60!! PS, your inbox is full.

Says a lot for modern fuel cells that don't split. That poor bugger who got toasted after that fairly innocuous looking start line shunt. His car took about 30 secs before it caught!
-
Stick it on for $1 reserve to really find out what it's worth. My guess, you'll get $7-8k.

I reckon it's cool. Will sound great and do really good burnouts!!

Looking for ignition barrel and key please for e30. Cheers, Jock

Yep, you're right, hence the ~45 demomination, 1.5 x 3 litre turbo = 4.5 litre

Cain's wheels are rare E34 M5 Throwing Stars

Bit like the early 745i, which had the M88 (I think, 276 HP) with auto. You really want more tourque below 4000 rpm for an auto IMHO.

Hey Neal, howsabout trashing someones thread on toyspeed.org.nz seeing as you like them so much. They also do it quite well over there. We don't tend to lower ourselves to such levels here at Bimmersport. Good luck with the surfing Waxer, if your threeta was a manual I might have been interested. Checking out Gus's this weekend. Having withdrawls after selling the M5  Cheers, Jock

It annoys me when they say "unable to be registered, but would make good targa car". Dooh, don't they know it has to be registered to be in targa!!

Hi Guys Got an email from Liam02 this morning. Haven't visited the forum in ages as the big white bus has gone. I'm currently building up an AE86 Toyota Corolla Targa Car, but I've just found out I can't race as I have had my neck reconstructed two months ago (another f^%$^n tumour) and with 4 fused vertibrae, the risk of turning into toast in an accident is way too high. Will finish the car and have a bit of fun before selling it. Has 210bhp Celica motor, twin 45s, button clutch, T50 box, 5.1 LSD all in 900kgs. Should fly! Cain got it right, my old M5 was #1 of 4 new E34s in NZ. There is only one E28 that I know of. There were about 8-10 imports that I know of, so they're rare. Graham Pedlar in Napier was trying to sell his for ages, Almost identical to mine, and a South African import. The owner from new imigrated to NZ and bought it with him. I think Graham finally managed to sell it about a month ago for $20k, a good buy at that $ IMHO. I got $25k for mine from a bloke in Taupo. Cheers, Jock
