  2. Josh Trying to do this picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/13613985@N02/1479350090/ but I get an error. Any suggestions? Cheers, Jock
  3. Only VW to own is the new Golf GTi, all others are dodgy. This comes from bitter experience!
  4. I even asked Andrew about this, but he couldn't help me out. I want a picture of my old M5 up there!
  5. It's not even a manual. Dealers like this should be hung up and shot! Sent them an email "This car is not a manual and does not have 10 gears. Change your listing if you want any sort of credibility".
  6. Linkage Worth going just to see the 599 GTB pace car going hard out. Calling for interest on a repeat of this years trip. I have approx 10 places in a very nice house for the weekend of Taupo. Three nights, cost is $150/head for the entire weekend. Not cheap, but very comfortable, unless you're John Hudson and spend all your time walking home from town! Those that joined me at this year's event have first dibs. Any who don't come from earlier this year will make space for others interested. PM me if keen, references may be required. Post count will be an advantage. Cheers, Jocko
  7. Did you ditch your "new' Nokia?
  8. Cool, fly back from Surfers the day before, but me and the kids could be keen, will confirm later, all I need is a real car!

From South Africa's "News24" website. Johannesburg - Some referees in the rugby World Cup tournament in France are "bad, very bad," says former Springbok captain Naas Botha. A number of the decisions during this year's tournament had been "pathetic and shocking" and one mistake cost the All Black coach his job, Botha said on Tuesday. He singled out the "blatant forward pass" during the quarter-final match between France and New Zealand, saying the referee and touch judges either missed it or ignored it. The pass enabled France to score a try, win the match 20-18 and eliminate the tournament favourites. Botha, a respected television commentator after an outstanding career as Northern Transvaal and South African flyhalf, said the mistake by English referee Wayne Barnes had already cost All Black coach Graham Henry his job. "New Zealand could and should have won the match. They deserved to win, even though they did not play their usual brand of brilliant rugby. "The fact is that a forward pass has destroyed Henry. And one should also think of the players. Years of preparation and hard work were destroyed in the blink of an eye because a referee and two touch judges did not keep their eyes open," Botha said. Could see with the naked eye He was also furious because "South Africa could have easily been in the same situation as New Zealand because of a pathetic referee. "One could see with the naked eye that the pass that so nearly gave Fiji a try at a critical stage of the match against the Springboks was forward. "Had it not been for JP Pietersen's tackle that prevented Fiji from scoring in the corner South Africa might also not have reached the semi-finals. "And what about the last few minutes of that match when the Springboks won a scrum near Fiji's try-line? They could have scored if at least two of Fiji's players did not break away, completely illegally, before the ball had emerged. "The referee was standing right in front of the two culprits but he did nothing. He should have awarded a penalty try to South Africa. "It is sad that the integrity of the World Cup tournament has been compromised by referees such as these. "And nobody must mention "human errors". A referee in a tournament of this nature should watch what is happening. "The touch judges must also watch what is happening. And if there is any doubt, there is technology that they can call upon. "I'm sorry, I don't buy it. It stinks," Botha said
  11. Bow down to the Bimmersport God!I remember Andy saying how gutted he was when he had to rest his user name and his post count went back to zero.
  12. Oooorrrr, you're just showing off. It's not the size that matters, it's how you use your tongue!
  13. My sentiments exactly. You need to toll roads or areas to avoid congestion. This system works because- Those who can afford it, use it. - Buses, commercial transport etc can be exempt thereby not affecting the cost of public transport and the cost of freight etc. These systems work brilliantly all over the world and it astounds me at the lack of proactive manouvering to implement it here. Why they ever removed the toll from the bridge will remain a mystery. Mark my words, we will be paying to cross the harbour within the next 5 years if a decent government gets in next year.
  14. Electric bike Apparently does 0-100 in 0.97 seconds!
  15. Is that as opposed to Penis size
  16. That's why they run ferrys from Birkenhead, Northcote and Devonport on a regular basis. Also they're about to spend $45m fixing the bridge. For another couple thay could add a cycle/walking "clip on".
  17. Agreed. We have not reached the point of pain where it is more economically viable to use alternatives such as Public Transport. Unless people have to pay $100 to travel to work in the peak period, we'll continue to clog the roads up. Only when the cost of travel really hurts will we look to bikes, working from home, living closer to where we work, changing our work times etc. I can see the return of the horse and cart at some stage. Mind you, equine flu may put paid that theory! User based tolls such as those implemented in the centre of London seem to be a good start (from the outside) although I admittedly have not followed up on how the tolls in London are working thses days. I feel broad based petrol tax is not the solution although easy and cheap to implement, it does not target the consumers that are congesting the roads at peak times and it does nothing to reduce carbon emissions. I am not a greeeny either, but I do seriously have concerns over the future state of the planet and what my kids and grandkids will have to inherit from us. Having said all that, I still love a thrash in a car and drive a relatively uneconimical and ungreen Ford Territory although 95% of the time I don't need it. That's because I am not penalised in driving it.
  18. Oops, just stuffed by replying to another one. Something about milestones I guess.
  19. Interesting how the leading edge of the front door is different. Should have put the coupe rear lights on the sedan too.
  20. Cut and polish should fix it!
  21. Don't buy an early E36, the build quality of the early ones is crap! We have had a '92 325i for 6 years now (too long) and have tipped thousands into it. Worst car I ever bought. Problems are; Jap import, Jatco auto sucks. Interior is crap, roof lining, door trims and seat coverings all stuffed out and have been replaced $2k. Have replaced radiator, air conditioning, exhaust (OK that's normal wear and tear), bottom control arms, auto box. Buy a Toyota Corolla. Here endeth rant.
  22. I'm keen for this sort of trip although the 28th doesn't suit, off to Surfers with the kids for a week on that day. But go ahead, that road is awesome.
