yeah, those kind of TOP of the line cars even for its age, should last longer than a standard BMW or even a TOYOTA if taken care of properly.. for me, one my my life time cars will be a 840ci would care less for the high k's though. best bang for money i say a month ago ive seen a blue MINT AZZ ONE in lincoln road stoped beside me in a stop light in my m8's 350z. and by the holy one.. my m8's car didnt compare at all !!.. the driver was smiling and reved his engine, and we did the same. we gunned it and took the lead for a bit, then he started storming in with his v8 engine then yeh..
  4. well yeh,, DIY is the cheapest way to service any car. and in gives you enough experience and skills that you cant get from sending your car into a garage. there are plenty of BMW manuals online and or buy it if you want that gives you step by step on how to service certain parts. I.e. chaing on brake pads (which is a piece of cake just follow the instructions) and for the service light, ( its the annoying light in your dash board intrstrument that tells ya that an inspection, oil change etc is due and will pop up and sometimes stay on while you drive) it does nothing else but its annoying as hell. you can buy a reset tool from trademe or ebay running from 50 bucks - 400 bucks for one that does everything. DONT BUY THE INSTRUCTION ONLY THAT SHORTS OUT THE CURCUITS AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED. as a bmw owner (changed from honda 6 months ago), yes its a bit hefty on the wallet in the likes of parts and service fees but is managable if you can do some of the stuff yourself and know where to get the parts from. (never ever go into a garage for little things to be replaced unless your rich enough i.e. brake pad replacement or engine oil unless you dont know if it has syntethic or mineral oil) you can always come back here for some BMW nerds advice LOL
  5. ONE OF THESE DAYS !!!! i tell ya.... one of these days !!

  7. LOL ive taken hand outs as well from dadyo.. he paid 1/2 for my car ( but that was for graduation prezzy) so dunno if that counts just installed my new sony headdecK:D well i was at mairangi bay this afternoon near the stoplight infront of parallel imports. this guy with his m8's in a beat up e30 ( rusts on panels, cut springs on chrome hub caps with spinnersetc) rolled up beside me and dad in our odyssey. and the dick f**k yelled out "your poor shits buy a better car!!".. i was like wtf !! before i could reply he gunned it at green and was puffing black smoke HAHA but coudlt even get far ahead in our odyssey LOL.. its just those kind of BMW owners that bring out the stereo typing in people..
  8. yeah when i got my car it was running a bit over the 1/2 way mark as well ( e36). i flushed the radiator and changed coolant and water.. then after that it was running normal temp on 1/2 way.
  9. hey question.. which type of gearbox helps with petrol consumption?? i cant really compare my manual experience with my auto as all the cars ive driven are of a different nature i.e. manuals: civic, hilux, integra etc.. autos: bma, civic (different engine), lexus etc..
