    The madsedan

I'm really digging the second shot! Tidy ride mate, well done!
  3. You after lowering springs? I've got, what you need?
  4. Bru, you sound like Leonardo DiCaprio off Blood Diamond.
  5. That should see the new recruit numbers skyrocket.
  6. Play the guilt trip with them. Not to mention, you should be responsible when driving with them so they will trust you.
  7. Put this post in the wanted section mate. Try Ray; 0212HELLBM
  8. State your car is 2498CC, secondly try your parents insurance company, with the car under their policy, you as the main driver etc. I've done the above with tower, had no issues whatsoever. Also, if you only have a learners, you need a full-licenced driver with you, so you might as well put the vehcile under your parents name with you as a designated driver? Be hard for them to turn you down that way [as it would be your parents], and you should have a reduced excess/premium.
  9. Pictures taken from a 1986. Have circled the points that you have to mount. I'm not at home, these all the pics I have, but can take more if required.
  10. If the oil is from a garage, there is a high chance that if a mainly jappa co. they will buy bulk oil and just use it in any car to increase profits. Best to find out what oil is recommended and stick to a known brand. I personally only use ELF oils.

    Oh Dear!

That's mean. Blacken wheels, windows, finish boot > BADASS.
  12. Just to stop moving, you could use velcro, or something really grippie against your carpet [assuming your carpet mat doesn't move]. Mine is very snug, so it doesn't move. In a wagon previously, I bolted it to the car [mainly to stop theives]. Or... you could stop driving it like its stolen ;P

  14. Tyres: Firenza ST-08 215/35ZR18 85W Directional. I think if going on a lowered E36, when the tyres need changing, some 40P would fill the gap nicer.
  15. This scratching seems to be the clear coat only. The scratching is like this the whole way around each rim. As mentioned before, from Mag & Turbo stacking them. Should be able to get it sandblasted then Powdercoated any colour you want with ease. More than welcome to come around and view them too.

  18. The bus service in Auckland is hopeless! Public transport should never be privatised, as we all know what private firms main goal is. The Stagecoach buses are often late, don't show up at all, rude drivers, bad bus drivers, smell/dirty/tagging, prices constantly go up, over-crowded, eluded a shitload of diesel smoke, break-down frequently... you get my drift. Before the Governing bodies decide to reduce vehicle numbers, why not improve railway, bus, ferry and taxi services first?
  19. Sold. Only have 6cyl 50mm drop left.
  20. I think the Government are to "tax happy". With a break-down of petrol prices, a large chunk is ACC Levies. Such levies that are also included in our PAYE. If the Government researched effective ways to reduce the need for ACC by motorists, such as; harder to gain a licence as a youngster, harsher penalities for drink driving, better roads, better schooling on driving etc. Another method would be to introduce compulsory insurance. Not just on cars [or at all], but on people. If you are in an accident and say, break an arm and two legs, forcing you to take leave, instead of the Government paying, dependant on whose fault, their insurance co. should have to pay. Not to mention the need for NZers to people able to sue those for personal bodily harm!

    Buying E36

From my searching, I don't find there is a noticable difference between the pre and facelift models [mostly as alot of the pres now look like facelifts anyway], but you will notice price variances with kms, overall knick, location, body shape, special things [like leather, sports seats, mags, reputable mechanical history, engine capacity, audio, and any other modifications]. You should be able to find a manual motorsport for around $12k if you look hard enough, plenty of manual coupe "iS"s about for $7k. Just comes down to what you REALLY want, and how good you are at bargaining people [heaps of E36s out TradeMe, so people are finding it hard to sell 'em {LIKE ME!}]
  22. Price on the front grilles if they are unscarred?
