Hay man. Good to see another e21 on here. I want to see your car in the flesh. It's the same colour mine was factory and I'm wanting to know if I like it enough to do it again. The issue you have sounds like a fuse or earth issue . But you have checked all the fuses and I don't know of any more tucked awayany where . Get your jumper leads and run them from The negative bat terminal to the motor and the chassis and see if it makes a difference. And get a new battery. Jumping cars on a regular basi. Is risky .

Yep they are yours if you want them. Pay me what you think they are worth . Id love to save this 323 from the scrap but it's just too far gone. I may if I have funds turn it in to a skid car for dirt track.

So I have the m50b20. Yes I know, its only a 2000 and its also a m50 not a m52 so is real heavy. But it is about 30 hp up on the factory m20b20 carb I have now. The plan is to fit the m50, wire it up , sort cooling system and exhaust and have it running. Then once I have the money simply swap the motor over to a m52 in b25 or b28 config . im thinking the b28 im aiming for about 200hp so an exhaust chip and vanos delete should put me in the ball park im after. Now here is where I need help. Are the b20 and b28 the same block and head? so have the same external measurements. Are the exhaust manifllds the same spacing and bolt patterns for all the different sizes. These motor is one1. Advantages of obd1 vs obd2. Im hoping that i have the running b20 then i can simply drop in the b28 change the ecu and the wiring to run the m50 intake and hit the ground running. Is this going to work or am I going to have to redo a bunch of work to make the bigger motor work . I will.also need a e34 sump and pick up .

Sooooo Research Told me the brakes and diff were not up to it, I needed to replace all the bushes, and that wheels are hard to get in the correct offset. So what to do. Go shopping . O I sold my boat to buy the car, a motorcycle bike and have a bunch more stuff for sale. So parts purchased so far Parts for 5 lug conversion E28 late subframe trailing arms with midcase 3.6 LSD E24 rear brakes. may look into e34 items . E24 front hubs and brakes . Vt to vy Holden calipers and discs work on an e21 with a small 3mm spacer with a hubcentric So.am hoping they will still work. Big discs easy to find and the calipers are not a bad weight for the result I have a set of black seats out of a Honda Integra. Not recaros but notfar off I. Terms of support Real nice condition with base/rails that will be able to be used with the factory rails or easy modified floor. A m50b20 more on this to come. I have a set of fortune 500 coilovers deposit paid . Got a mig and gas Twisted wire wheels Epoxy primer . Currently building a sand blaster and redesigning my shed lay out . I'm sure there are other things as well . The e28 rear end once modified is about 2 inches wider than std. And I like dish. I have been told that e36 wheels will work on the rear having a high offset, but the front needs a very low offset. Need to check this for my self. But im liking the idea if 17x10" rear wheels and group 2/2002 turbo style fender flairs. It's getting cage at some stage also . if any one has a motorsport front around please let me know. idealy im after a glass one that has seen better days that needs repairing so i dont feel to bad about making mods or one that i can make a mould off end

Hi guys. Starting thread for the little black E21. It's a 1982 320/6 with cosmetic changes as per the photo. This is how I brought it. It had been in the body shop where it was rust removed and painted. Not sure how high a quality the rust work was but it's straight so I'm not going togo looking till I have a reason. Currently has a sportline steering wheel pioneer head and 6x9. Seats are out of a early 90s fxgt and are much better than the factory seats of craps. E30 boot spoiler and a set of 17s Looks cool. Needswork but I'm happy putting around for a bit. I also have a 323i parts car. The plan was to sell black and keep restore the 323i.The 323.was meant to have the lsd but no it's got the big sway bars, rear disc and bigger front struts. But realisticly it's to far gone for me and it's full of rust and poo. Been repainted 3 times and has had a few non welded rust repairs. And all.of the desirable bits on the 323 are comming off and bbeing up graded. So no need for the 323......but it will still have it's uses . My plan is a little different. As of today I have an amazing little 18 day old girl. I have seen to many projects for sale due to kids comming along, not enough time, loss of motivation etc etc The plan is to keep the 320 as is, make it more reliable, upgrade the seats, tidy up the carpet, fix some rust and some leaks . But the plan is to keep it on the road so I can still enjoy it on weekends and go to events. Keep the car fresh in my mind so I can't just lock the shed door and walk away. The 323 is going to get stripped and parts sold off to fund the build. What is left of the shell will be used to mock up the modifications in preperation for the big rebuild. So I have been collecting parts and researching, researching, researching.

In doing a 5 stud conversion on my e21 using e28 and e24 components. I'm wanting to get started asap. But I don't have any wheels . I just need wheels to move it in and out of my shed. Once the conversion is complete I can look at offsets and whatnot. Don't care if they don't match , space savers damaged dented, rusty , ugly ,with tyres, with out tyres bald tyres. 4 single wheels from 4 people . It makes no difference. I just need 4 wheels . Free if possible. Or real cheep . I don't mind picking up. Many thanks

e30 m52 Swap, questions and guidance here ye.
Mr Vapour replied to RipJaws's topic in Project Questions
The e21 brake booster is a little smaller and is used in the conversion you are doing. I have one if you are looking for one . Thanks -
No he's correct. Your wheels are recorded on the plate and if you change any thing that is listed on the plate the car will be deemed as being out side of its cert and ilegal. They also measure the height of the car from the centre of the wheel to the middle of the wheel arch. So messing withthe wheel size mucks this up also.

Will be going up on trade me as parts soon .

Yes I have all the panels and bumpers are in the photo with the zender body kit. All the lights and grills and bits are all there. the motor was out when I got it and it is now bolted back in but not hooked up. It was running car , the PO had dreams of restoring it and stripped it, then moved towns and this Sat in a shed for the last 10 years. If I get time this weekend I want to try and reassemble the front end and at least get a compression test done on the motor. As I said it is more of a donor car. And I am willing to look in to selling it off as parts of If anyone wants parts. As I said I'm just trying to make my money back.

Wil load some pics up once I'm at work. Was doing it in bed on my phone In terms of rust . Rust points that look ok The floors, firewall , boot floor rear wheeltubs Normal rust repairs Sills , lower front guards lower rear 1/4s onedoor has been repaired. It's had some panel damage behind the drivers door at some stage and been repainted . Like I said it needs work, it's savable if you are keen. Or a great donor
-
Did you find the bastard ?
-
Got it as a project. But I have a baby on the way and I need the space and money . It needs work. Or use it as a doner for a manual conversion from m10 to m20 and use the larger sway bars , rear disc, vented fronts and 6cyl sub frame. Has a zender full body kit and foha rear boot spoiler. /llll 4 speed manual No seats carpet, roof lining. I just want what I paid for it. Rego on hold 1500.00. 0226711855.

I was trying to buy a set of hubs and discs for my e21. But the only way I was able to get the parts I was after was to buy the entire front and rear suspension, steering and subframes. So it's all for sale to try and re-coup the cost Early e24 Front Front struts $30 each Sway bar $30 Steering box $50 Steering linkages $35 Lower arms $ 25 per side Subframe 40 Rear Sub frame 40 Trailing arms 25 eash Sway bar 25.00 Sideload diff (will confirm ratio) 175 Axles 25 Springs 50 One shock If you are wanting any thing please let me know . Make me an offer. 250 takes all but the diff, 350 if you want the diff as well. Its all a bit dirty at the moment . My plan is to water blast it all over the weekend and post up pics after that . Thanks . 0226711855 .

Ahhh man that sucks . Sorry to hear. I'll grab the sub frame if it's not needed I can mod it go eliminate the camber in the back of My one. I have a 323 that's about to be sold soon. It's in need of work. Let me know.
-
Is it a disk rear end?? Snap them up Graham. If you are going to lower it you will need the sub frame. Slot the sub frame to allow you to dial out the camber.
-
As discribed above. Early e24 or e12 front hubs. If any one knowsof an alternative please let me know. Will be going on a e21 . Thanks
-
Thanks for the lead .James was going to help me out but the car got taken to scrap and the parts are no longer available . Also early e24 hubs will work for me. Thanks
