As it says above I think it may be easyer to fit the correct cluster for my donor motor than trying to convert my e21 gauges from mechanical to electronic. I have a complete m52b28 out of an e36, there is a set of clocks in a e39 528i that i coud get. Would they work?? I cant see why not but im not up to speed with the ins and out of OBD II and bmw gauge clusters. Thanks Oh another thought is there a difference between a auto gauge and a manual gauge?? Thansk

Any one got a dead M52 block around?? Just wanting to mock up the motor and gearbox mounts with out having to worry about the head and other bits getting in the way. the weight of the whole motor. Hi any chance of grabbing that pump and seeing if I can retrofit it in to my e21 tank. The e21 has both internal and external pumps and I'm keen to eliminate the external pump when I get my m52b28 running

Has it got the recaro and lsd . Check the rear shocks and see what setting the peach is on. It may be set at its lowest to get the car down.

why don you look up what plug the NZ new cars had from teh get go and if its different to a JDM plug do with the NZ plug as long as the tune is the same but who would know.

is his car LHD? will euro headers not interfere with the steering if its RHD? I can help just the first thought that comes to mind

I read of a similar story in Aussie recently where a guy brought a xy gtho and later found it had the fire wall swapped . Got all his money + some back. Aussie legislation is very similar to ours so there may be some value in looking it up.
