I currently have both generation M62. `98 540 Touring and a `01 M540 both kiwi new. The difference is night and day. Everything comes down to budget but would definately recommend the M62TU over the rest. As easy as the earlier M62 to maintain and of course has some improvements that always come with facelift models of any class. Currently getting 13.2 litres / 100 k. If you want 6 cyl. look at E46`s. This is easy. Kiwi new Tech II M Sport`s, Cabriolets and tourings seem to exist in roughly equal numbers. At times I`ve owned a few at once. About a year or two ago it was the Apex touring, Hellbm touring and the `92 318 man. touring. I can think of several customers with them outside of Bimmersport. So not to rare just yet. They seem to stay with the owners for longer than standard E30`s and sell pretty quickly when they come on the market.

Looks like a tidy example. Pics taken up the road from me at Gulf Harbour. Missing front and rear M Bumpers, clear indicators and the style 5`s or throwing stars. Swap out the LCM module and the faults will be sorted. Have those things done, with the low K`s I would not sell for less than 20,000. Call anytime if I can be of any assistance. regards Ray

hi Kayne,LSD center from 3.64, rear cover and flanges swapped over. Easy....
