Not a bad car. not motorsport and yes they are sh*t photo`s but well looked after and tidy in the flesh. I`d buy if I didn`t have so many projects on the go at the moment.

Get Vodaphone Duo. Works real well. Incoming calls are diverted to car phone when car is ignition is on. $10 a month for the service plus 50c a minute to call out. Credit card size and easy to swap between cars. -

I still have Cains (badly bent, minus 6 speed conversion which is now powering another 540) 540LE and of course my own 540is HELLBM. A great site for 540is/M reference is 540i Sport.

Also 1990`s 325i and 320i. Both Sth African sedans with recaro style sports interiors.

Dealt with M42`s with broken timing chains. Use tensioners from M44`s on them. Much more reliable. M50`s and M52`s don`t seem to have the same problems. M60B30 baby 8 has them breaking alot.

Decent ones are becoming rarer. I have sent two of them to Australia in recent weeks and sold and or installed 4 2.5`s in the last 3 weeks. Supply vs. demand will edge the price up from here now on. Only have a few left at the moment. Call if you have no joy elsewhere.
