    price?

what do you get over a 540i/6 Msport? (aside from 100hp and some mirrors?) remember we are talking $15k+ here

    price?

only problem with M5 is fixing and maintaining the thing, and is it really a worthwhile difference for 95% of the driving that most of us do? I would love an E39 M5 but just trying to be realistic with how much more you get for your money over a 540i, that said its probably easier to find an M5 than a 540i/6 with the options you want

    FS:1986 318i E30

as far as adverts go that is useless, and against forum rules. so do what henry said to sort it out.
  4. they only need weights if they're out of balance, or they might have hidden them on the inside. Only way to know is have the wheels balanced checked again
  5. did not see that coming, I thought alonso would take it. webber never looked good after his qualifying performance. bring on 2011 season!
  6. ^ was going to suggest those too

    Gran Turismo 5

I have to agree with you there- just the right amount of grunt when it was tuned, could put far more powerful cars to shame around the nurburgring as it was so easy to drive

    ITB's

^ That sort of setup would have it running, but it wont do much for performance. Few other thing's need to be fitted like TPS, warm up and idle control etc but in principle it should run
  9. LM's do look very cool

    new years...

  11. depends on the car, e30's have to be lowered, modern cars not so much. everything within moderation...
  12. chuck norris doesn't believe in germany
  13. Pretty sure its just a different tip. I've also read that diff ratio's were shorter, but haven't seen anything to confirm that yet
  14. spacers? or find different offset wheels?
  15. Edit - Normal Z3 stuff isn't the same as Z3M but looks like the run the same stuff as E36M3 anyway so probably wont work sorry. Dont have listing for E39M5
  16. I'm surprised they havent tried to make some sort of lock-out on radio controls (bar volume) while the car is moving. Kind of how the TV works in BMWs, once you're over 5kph you cant change a track, radio station, cd etc. I'd love to know how many crashes happen because a driver was looking around the passenger seat or glovebox to change a cd and not looking where he was going. Its not so bad no with more cars having steering wheel controls but I've been in vehicles where the radio controls may have been on the other side of the car
  17. Mcoupe/M Roadster bits might be worth looking into?

    BBS LM's

Depends whether you use E30 M3 parts or E36ti parts. Those are suited to using E36 parts or E36 cars I believe.

    25mm E30 Swaybar

Apologies Henry, I thought you were further along than that. Ah, that would be how they got that then but I'm sure its wrong for this application. Basically the material on the outside is more 'effective' at withstanding the stresses applied. good 'ol wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torsion_(mechanics) we're looking at torsional rigidity, GJ. G is the material (which we assume is the same) and J is the size of our bar. Still, doesnt explain how the whiteline one is so much heavier. If its not hollow then it is 2.5 times stiffer, and thats likely to break/bend mounts etc and really screw up handling. Material would make negligible difference in this case so I'm lost. Is the distance the same from the point of rotation to the holes for the endlinks on both bars? Glenn(s)? Ron?

    25mm E30 Swaybar

Huh? How'd they work that out... Sway bar stiffness increases as the fourth power of the diameter. For example, a sway bar might have a diameter of 22mm and you are considering changing it for one which is 26mm in diameter. 224 (22 x 22 x 22 x 22) give a stiffness factor of 234,256 units. The second bar’s stiffness is 264 which is 456,976. Divide one by the other and you can see that the second bar’s stiffness is almost twice (1.95 times) as high, even though it’s only 4mm thicker! ^ Thats how I got 2.5 times stiffer (before I saw that). You're an eng student aren't you? check your notes from 1st pro (I know its sold but I want to know if I'm wrong)

    25mm E30 Swaybar

I assume its the whiteline one thats lighter as it must be hollow? (doubt very much will it be 2.5x stronger than the OEM bar)
  22. Depends what year it is, FL swap is easier than preFL. PreFL uses different engine management and has sensors in the gearbox, if you change the box then you need a new driveshaft too. Other bits and pieces different too that should be changed
  23. ^ do you know what the 323ti's ran glenn? small case diff or med case with chassis modified to suit?
