    2003-2005 M5 seats

Seats are not M5 seats. If you want them anyway PM the seller. Sellers: Find out excatly what you're selling. If you're not sure- find out or say you're unsure.
  2. I like to keep it looking OEM but still like to upgrade speakers, I-pod/usb connectivity etc. Sub also needed, 5.25 speakers just too small for doof-doof, and they play louder/clearer if you arent trying to make them play lower frequencies. But back OT - I looked at a car with rough idle, it had 'lumpy cams.' sure....

  4. my 2c... All know stories of bludgers. one of my old neighbours sold "alternative medication" and claimed the dole. Never worked a day in his life. classic oxygen theif. The paper had a small section trying to sympasize with a design graduate who was one the dole because he couldnt get the job that used his degree. The way I read it was that because he couldnt get a job he wanted he was going to sit on his arse. Jobs are out there, just may not be what you want to do. 4 friends recently moved back from OE's. No real qualifications but all have managed to find work once they actually started looking. Child support is another thing that winds me up. I'd have no problem paying the money if I had children from an old relationship but I certainly like to know it was all going on the child and to have a say on where it went. (Correct me if this isn't the case already)
  5. I used it as a fuel only setup on an M10 turbo. MS itself proved pretty reliable after a few teething issues

    HT's E39 540i

nice, looks very similar to mine. Very easy to misbehave with DSC off. Open diff is still a kill joy though. Is it full M-package with seats, suspension etc? mind PM'ing me what you paid, and milage, age etc?

    Wellingtonians

remind me closer to the time mof. should be able to arrange for several beers
  8. That red 330i is the mutts nuts but an e39 540i is so much better value for money - faster and bigger and more toys. I know I'd prefer to have some money in the bank, or save myself from going into debt. I'd also happily go back to a tidy E30 for a DD. Fast cars are a waste around town and just make it more tempting to misbehave.

    This or that?

this. that is hideous. dont care how much faster it is.
  10. is that the one with the remote? if so thats quite a savings over the dealers price. Or do the price of keys vary even between different e39's?
  11. i got stung $200 for a non-remote one as I only wanted a spare. the remote (IR) was around $500 i think
  12. Any advantage to the IR system? RF ones seem to be much easier to use to lock/unlock. IR can sometimes need several attempts to work
  13. Hi, I removed your posts because your pictures were too big, can you re-size them and post them again. Thanks
  14. thats what I've got in my e39. still working through some issues with the ID3 tags on the jap radio and nav units, would probably be fine on a NZ new car. I thought about Dice or intravee but didnt want to bother with ipods. theres also this device http://acap.co.nz/products/dension/gateway-300/ $250+gst NZD - havent used this though

    WARNING

excatly, and road legal slicks are different again. Maybe the reg's wont be as though as what westy posted, might be geting excited over nothing (for those running sensible widths) ha does that mean my 255's are stretched on 9's?
  16. Mike

    WARNING

whats the reasons behind the change? Have there been cases where stretched tyres have caused accidents? I would have though as long as the tyre isnt stretched passed the manufactures recomendations. eg toyo allow 225/40R16 on a 9" rim. 215/40R16 however is only allowed on a 8.5" rim.
  17. I know what you're saying but there are still plenty of older cars that dont. And the other arguement is that the the road toll is still quite high, and hasn't dropped significantly enough where they would even consider raising the speed limit.
  18. very nice, kinda like the grey interior too
  19. yeah thats what I thought. I'll go new from dealer if I have to but seems like something I can save quite a bit on if I can just find the right sized joiners
  20. As the title says the hoses are quite brittle and have started to crack for the windscreen washer jets. I've looked around a few hardware stores and found hoses that will do the job but no luck with suitable joiners. I called BMW and they'll only sell me the whole lot (hoses + joiners for silly money), same with aftermarket suppliers. Anybody been replaced these before, if so where did you find the joiners? I might try wreckers as last resort but would rather get new as second hand is likley to be just as brittle Cheers
  21. I'd take it to an aircon shop, they'll be able to test it for leaks and re-gas it, or let you know if theres some other fault with it, my money is on the gas though
  22. ^ yeah but people mess up the ' and " for feet and inches all the time. Metric is much better as long as you keep it away from tards, especially if you mixing units
  23. so what was the difference between sports suspension and mtech suspension?
  24. haha muppet seriously though just ask him to get a friend to double check for him, someone needs to set him straight
