  1. bmwtips.com E39 tips & tricks, and forum.
  2. Well lets try not to get it closed. Just stick to the topic people.PM function is for continuing off topic discussions.
  3. I personally would only go genuine Hella. With angel eyes and dependent on the type of rear lights you'll need ballasts, otherwise every time you get in the car the check display will come up with faults. Could even damage the lights. If you buy genuine it is guaranteed to work properly 100%, as I found out on my fathers e39. Just finished installing a set of genuine celis clear tails and they do look amazing, we've had problems with another set that didn't have ballasts, and to be honest I wouldn't go through those troubles again. OEM also looks way better, has better a fitment and won't trigger faults. So theres my plug for OEM and Hella. But seriously you've bought a mint car mate, IMO keep it original OEM. My 2c, Nick
  4. The wire tap is the little blue thing. Remember yours could be done differently, buts its simple to remove.
  5. Sorry mate, should have added a comma. "It uses a wire tap, to tap into the rear lights...." Generally when people put a spoiler on they take the bulb out of the rear window light. Simply because it looks a bit weird with both the rear window light and the spoiler brake lights on. I'll get a picture for you after dinner.
  6. The brake light wiring is really simple. It just uses a wire tap to tap into the rear brake lights which is very easy to remove. Atleast that the case with mine.
  7. We're gonna get the sides replaced when in goes on for its warrant next week at Jerry Clayton. But probably not the fronts, gonna cost too much. But I'm trying to convince him to get at least some angel eyes.
  8. Had a busy day today. Got some brand new Hella Celis Tail lights and just had to fit them ASAP to my fathers e39 540i schnitzer. Before: After: 100% improvement from the original orange pre-update lights. Just thought I'd share. Comments are welcome! Cheers, Nick
  9. Bimmers go forever mate! People are still asking $10k+ for M325's with 250k+ on the clock!
  10. Spotted on TradeMe. Genuine M325 according to Carfax. A bit ruff around the edges but looks like a steal compared to some around the 10k mark atm. And an LSD Comments??
  11. When you jump start it and drive around the alternator should charge enough for it to start the engine again. Or at least that was the case with my e36. When I had to jump start mine I took it for a good long 45 minute drive and that seemed to charge it enough. Although a 20 minute drive should give it sufficient time to charge enough. I would personally take it straight into BMW, I messed around for a couple of days, then when I took it in there was no saving the 10 year old original battery. Although thats only if its the battery! (Sorry, I think aloud) If theres a problem with the alternator not charging, a light will come up on the dash. Like so: Hope thats of some help, Nick
  12. Yuen was selling a header to tailpipe 328 exhaust on trade me ages ago. Went for just over $110 if I remember correctly. Am still kicking myself I didn't bid. (It had a schnitzer tip, so that increase the price a bit)
  13. Very nice mate! Can't wait to see some better pictures. Schnitzer's really suit e34's
  14. Your never gonna sell them if you don't put up a picture or give a price you want for them.
  15. I highly doubt it. Headlights are different, Kidney grilles are different. The top of the headlights and the grilles are curved into the shape of the bonnet. The guards, i don't know. But remember the bonnet of the coupe is probably longer than the sedan anyway.
  16. Yep, got the problem. With slingshot.
  17. Stock is about 25p.Here are the general offsets for standard E30's. - 6" rim = 35-ish - 6.5" rim = 30-ish - 7" rim = 25-ish - 7.5" rim = 20-ish
  18. Bump. Still going for another couple of weeks, get your votes in for Anitform.
