  1. SAAS Suede steering wheel. Purchased brand new for $140 at trade zone, used for one track day - didn't really suit my car (bit too small for no power steering), so I've taken it off. In as new condition. Includes original box and horn button. My loss your gain ... $100 take it away.
  2. No ... that's a family car Alex ... what are you trying to achieve out of modding?? Just overall self enjoyment or to increase power or speed or handling?? Personally I think the car is pretty darn good out of the box, and it's one that I've never had the desire to actually mod (unlike the E46 which has some inherent handling and braking flaws).
  3. Glad to hear my old car is going to live out the rest of its existence as a racecar !! Heard it's a female driver too .... !! Awesome!!!

    Awesome Ray!! Good work!!

    PPI for M3

Book it in with Team McMillan ... ask for Peter Burk to give it a look over. Mine and a couple of other CSLs + Mike Eady's race E92 M3 are all looked after by Peter exclusively - he knows his M3s and BMWs. If Peter is away at a race or too busy, then ask for Andre instead.
  6. price drop $1500 now on trademe also: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=418808796
  7. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=418803502 reserve isn't far from starting bid ... Details for those that can't access trademe from work: Purchased from Harvey Norman in December 2008. 3 seater +2 singles (with the 3 seater both of the two side seats recline also - the centre one doesn't - the whole thing separates into three seats for easy moving) 2 x single seater recliners. All mechanism working. Material in reasonable condition for age. VERY Minor seating and worn spots in the fabric (no rips - you can tell that someone has sat at the same spot - best way I can describe it) Material isn't faded from what I can tell. It is a soft fur like fabric (not quite valvet and not quite suede) - very nice and comfortable. No stains. We have upgraded (we tend to go through phases with our lounge set ... nothing wrong with the set, just wanted a change of scenary) - so this is up for sale. I have the original purchase invoice still (dated 07/12/2008) - this cost $3249 when new including soilguard (I believe 5 year warranty) ### Jack Russell NOT included### ### Winner of auction MUST make contact within 3 working days of auction closing otherwise I shall treat it as a failed transaction and relist the auction###
  8. Update ... obviously not Mike's car, but thought we'd try and see what it'll look like
  9. Just spoke with BEE18C ... he said it is $800 to have it made.
  10. Love the view from your Desk!! Not sure ... got sent the photo - I believe it was from a BMW training day in Taupo. sh*t loads ... haha ... BEE18C is quoting about $800 to have it made. As per below - and most likely how the WTCC wing was made. the newer version wings are now carbon fibre and LOT more expensive. Thanks Jon will keep this in mind - Do you have a size limitation on what you can replicate? We are thinking about building a mould for the GTS front splitter off Mike's car - would this be at all possible? There is actually a second wing being made right now but if we could lighten it even more it would be most beneficial - can you PM me more information on the PU system that you do at work (or a website to your company?) Cheers!!
  11. So a little while back I was approached by Mike Eady to find him a genuine M3 GT4 GT wing for his M3 racecar - I managed to track one down for him but the asking price was borderline ridiculous. So a replica was found in Germany and again that was not much better. Instead, we got our hands on a genuine WTCC wing and took that apart (which is what the GT4 wing is based on) and we commissioned a local fabricator to make a copy of the GT4 wing. Here's the result and original post: The car that the wing is going on: What it should look like : )
  12. Just going to bump this back up if the mods don't mind as my review for the car is out in the latest issue G-Force:
  13. I've definitely read some good feedbacks about FK shocks - definitely the good type Konis!! KWs do make some good products, but from my time dealing with them it can be a little up and down in terms of customer service - they can be absolutely exceptional sometimes, yet other times I've come to think WTF over very trivial issues (PM me if you want to know more!!) As a product they are definitely rated reasonably highly, especially anything clubsport and above. But obviously there are always better, although not usually in a reasonable price range like the KW gear. Mine came from a racecar in the UK, then were sent to KW Racing in Germany for a full overhaul. Actually half of the kit is brand new and the other half completely rebuilt back to new. I deal with KW Motorsport directly as a privateer customer. All their race stuff is customised, the CSL cup stuff have their own settings based around the CSL.
  14. Good lord ... what has this thread turned into ... Chill and peace people Brian I think some of the guys are just taking the piss rather than being serious about the comments. But you are right, you'd be the last person to actually be called a racist ... far from it!! As for lucky, bastard or whore ... Josh is free to call me a whore anytime hahah ...
  15. As if you don't have my mobile on speed dial Brian Sure thing - do you want the car in stock form or modified form?
  16. KW Race shocks 2 way adjustable straight out of a CSL Cup car Then I pulled them out because it was making the car undriveable on the street - so at the moment OEM shocks and springs
  17. Okay I have had this set since new - I purchased this from BMW NZ brand new for about $6900 (seriously ripped off ) Anyway, these have been in my old E46 M3 and the CSL for the last couple of years (actually since 2004ish) They have had around 25,000 ~30,000km of travel and are in very good condition (Photo is of the kit when new obviously). It is genuine AC schnitzer coilover which is based on re-valved Bilstein PSSS9s and AC custom springs - not sure what the rates are - I can't remember now The ride is firm if set on hard and quite soft if you go the other way. It is a monotube design shock and the adjuster changes both damping and rebound at the same time. The fronts are coilovers, the rears are not - it uses shims at pre-determined ride heights (which ironically is identical to the CSL ride height) - I can provide an AST rear spring adjuster at extra cost if needed (but honestly it is not necessary). I no longer have the C Spanners, the dealership lost them. $1800ono You re-use the factory top hats with these, so top hats aren't included - basically what you see in the photo is what you get (I do still have the original AC Schnitzer box if you want it, but it is in pretty poor condition)
  18. Hi Joseph More than happy to chat about M3 with you - my contact details below: I don't work for BMW, but my wife used to and I've had E46 M3s since 2001 (in fact my first E46 M3 was recently for sale on trademe : ) was very tempted to buy it back). No there was never a clubsport package offered in NZ nor a Competition package - the reason I know this is because I tried to order one when they became available. Hence my original suspicion about the legitimacy of the clubsport budge for your car. I don't doubt the value of it though as it does have 80% of the clubsport gear on it. However I maintain that without the M Track mode it really isn't a true clubsport replica. email: [email protected] mobile 021 281 0155
  19. Fairly sure anything Apple from Australia is locked to their network unless you pay them a fee to unlock it. Trademe also has a thing called Genvie sim or similar that apparently unlocks it??
  20. The competition pack/CS are a bit of a parts bin special without the go fast bits. The steering rack and the M Dynamic mode are the most important additions to the car. There's still quite a few things different in the CSL to the standard M3: see here (I actually complied this list below, but I have no idea who this guy is that owns the website - he simply copied it) http://www.clubcsl.com/index.php?option=co...fo&Itemid=7 Something doesn't add up - that build sheet is from BMW directly and doesn't specify the car as a CS/Competition pack. My opinion is that the parts were added post import into NZ and it wasn't originally built as a CS (hence the missing M Track mode - this is part of the CS package, so without it it is no longer a CS - not to mention the missing steering wheel and handbrake alcantara trims). The brakes, steering rack and wheels can all be added to the car - but just because it has these parts doesn't make it a CS or Competition pack as it was never built as one. All the differences mentioned by me are correct - the headers are in fact a post 2005 build thing - all E46 M3 built after 2005 had CSL headers (just the headers not the full exhaust system). I would consider this car to be an E46 M3 individual with 'some' Competition parts (brakes, wheels and steering rack). Rear wheels are exactly the same as CSL, fronts are half inch narrower but the same material and same manufacturer - i.e. BBS Incorrect - they are all made by BBS - only the fronts are different width, the rears are exactly the same and carry the same part numbers.
  21. The CS or commonly known as the Clubsport or Competition Pack versions gets: CSL Headers, CSL rear wheels (but not the fronts, they are similar but 0.5inch less in width) CSL brakes front and rear, M Dynamic Mode, CSL steering wheel, CSL handbrake handle and most important of all, the CSL steering rack. I'll need to check the software code, but I have a suspicion that in SMG form it also gets the CSL SMG software.

    M3 make over

Great job, although personally I would not have plated the bolts as it weakens it due to hydrogen embrittlement through plating and also causes a change in friction coefficient property - i.e. the torque properties of those bolts would have changed and chances are they would be under-torqued by about 25% or thereabouts.
  23. Yep definitely NOT a clubsport - misleading advert. It's missing the Clubsport option code S7MAA in the full options list. Just a very highly spec'd individual E46 M3
