BMW NZ won't provide such info for privacy reasons. BUT, HAPPY TO REPORT THAT I'VE TRACKED DOWN ALL THE KNOWN CSLs in NZ (bar possibly one other import -still trying to confirm if this car indeed exists) I can officially report that I have all infos, including chassis number, specs for the 12 CSLs in NZ, 2 imports (one happens to be #6 produced) - All NZ cars are numbered in the #2XX). NZ cars include 2 black sapphire cars and 8 silver grey. Out of the 10 official imports, 5 are delimited (i.e. no 250km limit) and all are silver grey cars. All NZ new cars were made between 23rd - 25th September 2003 (yes the whole lot) despite their respective registration dates. Contrary to popular belief, the driver training CSL that got written off a couple of years ago is one of the 10 official imports - i.e. it isn't a pre-production car or anything special (and a non-delimited car) - so technically speaking, only 9 official NZ new CSLs remain. Well that's that mystery solved!!!

Hey that's not nice !! .. .haha ..

I can't speak for the organisers, but I always turn up in the bimmer to nzhonda stuff (since I no longer have a Honda) and I've never been told to leave haha - so I am sure it'll be fine ...

Thanks for the replies guys ... Not the black one ... looking for the white one in motorsport livery. -
Okay I've seen photos of this car some where, but I can't remember where I saw it. It's the classic racing CSL that was in NZ a couple of years ago and was then sold overseas?? Can anyone help. Cheers

Put me down as a regular !!!
-
Not me, although I've been known to cruise Newmarket to get me wife lattes from Starbucks every Saturday .... Does he still own it? Wouldn't mind getting hold of him if possible ... or even just a rego will do if he is shy .... : ) Trying to find out whether there are 2 or 3 black CSLs ... my hunch tells me there's 3 - but I've only personally ever seen 2.
-
Not sure to be honest - the reason I say that there's 2 black cars is because when the one that's now in Wellington was originally for sale at Team McMillan, I saw another black one in the service department getting some work done (this other black one was very untidy though, broken front and rear bumper, scratches every where) - it looked very unloved and very rough - so if the one you've spotted in Remuera recently resembles some what of a rough looking CSL, then yep that's probably it - truth be told though, I have no idea where this other black one resides. Sure thing !! I do like the 997 GT3 RS, although personally I prefer the E92 M3s ... but I am biased obviously
-
He didn't look that old to me to be honest haha .. but hard to tell at the same time (he was also looking at me and my car, but didn't say hi). Really nice M325i though - the wheels make it stand out. Bugger, was hoping it was the ellusive black one. Funny that everyone has been telling me that there's only 1 black one in NZ ... but I've personally seen 2 (one's down in Wellington now) Highly recommend buying a CSL if you have the means to - or at least experience one - it's quite an incredible machine like you say.
-
What colour was the CSL? Trying to track down the other ellusive black one that I know exists, but have no idea where it is at the moment. Saw a really nice Black E30 M325 2 door coupe yesterday at BP Botany with gold basket weaves - really tidy car.

Owner's name is Llewellyn.

Not really if you understood the economics behind it. It's an overly simplified generalisation and I am obviously not talking about the eventual trickle down as a result of it.

Ah yes, the guy from MIT ... quite a genius that fella. I believe he's managed to also Frankenstein an E60 M5 steering wheel onto his E46 with the S54 transplant ... amongst all sorts of other hybrids (although if you study some of the work carefully, it's actually quite rangi). Personally I prefer this build (more so for the workmanship and quality really): http://www.pipermotorsport.com/moredetail.asp?id=146

It's only a recession for those who are highly geared or leveraged, for the rest it's just a return to equilibrium before the boom that started 5 years ago.

Trust me this area of the law is anything but clear cut ... and I have a Law Honours degree. Get a specialist - and like stated above, if you don't actively protect it, you lose it.
-
I don't specialise in copyright, but for copyright stuff you really want somebody that's a real specialist in the area, don't just go to a run of the mill lawyer, as all they'll do is draft up a letter to outline the breach and threaten them to stop the action or pay up and charge you their hourly rate for a basic letter. Call a specialist Intellectual Property firm, or a large firm with an Intellectual Property department - not to mention it gives more weight to the claim and shows that you are serious about taking this further if you hire somebody that's actually a specialist.

3 spots remaining. -
Congrates!!! That's a steal for that car. Fuel consumption isn't too flash though when you are driving in 500hp mode. Just make sure that you've set up the iDrive properly for the "M" mode - you might not have engaged the 500hp mode!!
