  1. okay I was told Autocar ... but I can't confirm nor deny that it indeed is .. just know that it was definitely a car related magazine - just call it a car magazine journalist from now without naming magazine names.
  2. It's the powerhouse Amuse E92 M3 from Japan ... supposedly 480hp??? (code name Erisson M480) Not really a fan of the trunk lid, but the rear bumper looks hawt More pics: http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/attachmen...mp;d=1199987697 http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/attachmen...mp;d=1199987697 link http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106439
  3. And what do I get out of this other than to satisfy some of your curiosities and subsequently having the photos float around the internet and potentially getting a good friend of mine fired or disciplined - you wouldn't do it to your own mates why should I??? I've said I'll post them up and I will, but in time ... If you don't like it don't bother reading the post - I've been clear enough about this post already. And if anyone's in doubt they are more than welcome to come and see me and I'll show them the photos. Now I'll shut up like you want me to. Not a friendly bunch on bimmersports ... too bad ... I'll just head back to nzhondas ...
  4. Read the post properly ... I got sent the photos by an employee - I don't work for BMW
  5. Definitely the white one .... the red one is for sale at Team McMillan in newmarket. You wouldn't say that if publishing the photos taken in an employer's premises could potentially result in your ass being fired ... be patient people ... I will post the photos .. just not right now. And if you are really desperate to see them in person call me and I'll show them to you on my phone .... 021 281 0155 (don't ask me to pxt .. because I won't)
  6. Hard to believe they would destroy something like this when the project was canned ... stuff like this needs to live in a museum of some sort.
  7. Wicked ... exactly the info I need. THANK YOU !!!
  8. Would you have an E46 Business CD unit?? Or know where I might be able to track one down?
  9. Sorry to thread jack again ... But really need a reply on this one ... Am about to buy a business CD player from the USA from a guy that took it out of his 2004 E46 M3. He said the model number was CD53 E46. Question - would this unit work in New Zealand?? How do I go about finding out if it would??? Thanks
  10. Okay I have the photos in my possession - however I've been given strict instruction from the person that passed it onto me that I shouldn't post them up on the internet (and I am not going to yet just so I don't end up getting the person fired over this) I can say that the car is pretty f**ked .. hit on the left hand side dead on B pillar (the car is almost in a V shape from the top view) - passenger seat reduced to half of what it used to be with a lot of blood on the passenger airbags. I'll post up the photos a bit later on when there's less of a stigma surrounding the crash and less of a desire from BMW NZ to keep this hush hush ...
  11. So I have it to good authority that the first E92 M3 has been wrote off in NZ - by non other than an autocar journalist .... Apparently it's the white one owned by BMW NZ. The journalist switched off all safety features and lost it around a corner and came to an abrupt stop at a light pole, setting off all airbags and extensively damaging the car. I am waiting on photos .. once I get it (if I get it - as apparently it's all hush hush at the moment) - I'll post them up. Somebody's not going to have a very good new years I think ...
  12. Okay, got forwarded this by the wifey .... apparently a client of theirs - seems like an interesting business opportunity and ways to win good prizes ... take a look. p.s. website only just launched a few hours ago ... hence the lack of traffic for now. http://www.pixelpuzzleonline.com/index.php
  13. Question for Jochen or anyone in the know ... Would a single disc in dash CD player from the US, Europe or Japan also work in New Zealand?? E46 model ...
  14. For dyno proven stuff with proper R&D I'd go with aFe from the USA - lots of guys use them in the US with great results. http://www.afefilters.com/
  15. 10 official imports (two delimited - mine being one of the two) and I know of 3 private imports (2 South Africa and one UK) Sure thing mate !!! I was going to attend the BMWCC anniversary thing but forgot about it on the day. Yep I used to use the M3 as a daily driver (you must be based out east Auckland to spot me every now and then then??) - I don't with the CSL now. Thanks for all the positive feedback !!!
  16. Thanks for the comments guys ... As for the plate ... Yep it was on my second M3 ....
  17. A friend of mine has a really nice digital camera, so we took some photos over the weekend ... thought I'd share. (surely everyone loves a photo or two every now and then right?)
  18. Here's just a handfull from m3forums .... more on e46fanatics, roadfly, ect .... I can't be bothered finding all of them ... http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums/e46m3/8061944-1.html http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums/e46m3/7540617-1.html http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread....upersprint+weld http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread....upersprint+weld http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread....upersprint+weld http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread....upersprint+weld Bottom line I wouldn't put those on my car period ... Lot of well known BMWNA Club racers on roadfly rubbish the supersprints stuff big time ... just PM Snook or the likes and they'll tell you how crap they are.
  19. PM'd contact details. The bearing recall was done to all E46 M3s manufactured prior to June 2003 (not including June production and not including CSLs) - so you've been told bollocks. In fact there were two recalls done - first was for those manufactured between March 2002 till March 2003 (worst affected month were those manufactured between August and November 2002 - personally I'd stay away from those vehicles). This recall turned out to be ineffective (this was for the second and third bearing batch) so a subsequent recall was done on all E46 M3s manufactured before June 2003 (I am lead to believe as I've seen mixed reports from different countries that some really early productions weren't recalled - i.e. those made end of 2000 and before March 2001 weren't recalled - but it appears to vary from country to country from what I've read).
  20. Haha true ... fair comment. I do rate is above the RS4 and love the youtube videos on the net comparing the two.
