SOLD So I've been thinking for a while now about selling my e30 in order to get something a little newer - perhaps with 4 doors and AC. So here is my beautiful little e30 M325. I've owned this for 2-3 years and enjoyed every minute. Serviced at the usual intervals by Bellars and lately by Motor Works group here on the shore. Cambelt done 2 months ago. Done 172000 kms. No cracks in the dashboard. Standard but for Car Folie tints and a Pioneer headunit. Build sheet: Car is in good condition for it's age. Asking $14k ono. Will post more pics later. Questions etc most welcome.

Wow - e34 M5 touring, a bunch of e30 M3 Evo's and (comparatively) cheap e39 M5's!

See this around my neighbourhood - sounds amazing! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=720786135

Others will know more but applying some sound deadening to your doors may help with the rattle - dynamat etc.

If the battery is in the boot that's half of the work done right there. If you can replace the headunit and speakers I think you can do the amp too.

^ Thanks again Dan.

How much for the gear knob and boot? Also with regard to passenger door - shadow line or chrome?

e30 car stereo help needed : converting back to stock

^ I'd just replace the head unit -
^ So the first figure is the vehicle weigh and the difference is 200kgs of driver... No wonder they don't fit my size 32' trousers!
-
It's not the M3 badge that bugs me really - I mean EVERYONE knows you get an instant HP increase by slapping one of those on... What bugs me is the towbar
-
^ Very nice

I'm not saying it's the case with this car but in my personal experience cars get a full re-spray for only a few of reasons: 1. Following extensive damage repair... 2. When the kid with his cap on sideways wants something a little more 'dope'. 3. Full restoration - usually the same colour is used.

Nice car! Swap you for my e30 M325

Wow it has a tape deck Might need that audio budget after all. -
HTC for me. Samsung's stuff is all plastic and feels cheap - good features though. Don't like apple - handsets are too small and their business practices annoy me.

^ Wow that does look so much better!

Wow this got long... To those that responded to the OP cheers. The answer does appear to be buy a nice auto car I like while leaving some money over for Ray to make it all better Manual vs. Auto - everyone is different and it would be kinda boring if that weren't the case. However I like driving my car. If something bad happens it's because I fu$ked up. Seems to me that people buying new cars these days want a 'bus ride' experience - auto, cruise control, auto braking based on car\pedestrian distance ahead, auto steering (Merc tech I saw in a doco somewhere), self parking, GPS and I'm sure things I haven't even considered. Sad really.

To be clear I'm not saying anything bad about auto boxes - I just don't want one.
-
^ I've scratched that itch ;-)

Ok so I kinda have a hankering for a 330i e46. Preferably a motorsport in blue with leather seats :-) But in 2 or so years of looking I don't think I have ever seen a factory manual... Why is that? Wikipedia says BMW did make some that way so how come we only have the auto boxes here?

I say do what you want - it's your car. Likely could use some suspension work anyway :-)
