  1. Does any one have or know where I can get one from, the whole exhaust/muffler needed
  2. Go VW .. stay away from French and stick with German, I dont know much about VW's but I have seen some wicked looking ones around, stick some 19's on it and angel eyes and it will look close to a BM ... Go with the VW for sure
  3. If its through State Or NZI they require you to park your car AT HOME for where you mentioned (drive way/carport/garage) when you took out the policy. If you are visiting a mates place, out the movies etc where your car is parked State/NZ will pay out / there are no clauses in the policy wording to say "you are not insured for" if you have parked it elsewhere other then your home. Out of the E30's on States/NZI's books, the only one that requires tight security is as we all know the M3 or a Convertible, the rest of the range is basic in terms of security requirements, unless you had a restricted licence or lower. the car must be with Tower if you have been declined, Im not sure on what they do, If you are with State - PM me
  4. Which insurance company are you with? I work for a major insurance company on the underwriting side of things, I find it strange how they are declining your claim, and Im a little biased when our beemers are involved..
  5. Thanks all fo ryour advice and support ... I will let you know how I got on
  6. Hi Richard I would agree with breakmywindow, I just had my car valued last week for insurance reasons, I had a look at the red bookvalue - your looking at between $4K-$6K Sweden? Dont buy a Volvo .... :-)
  7. Thanks Josh That auction is finished, do you have more?
  8. Thanks M3, this gives me more confidence .. I will fight them

    EARTHQUAKE!

Man .. I thought I was feeling things Im in the CBD in a 16 floor building ... should I get the f**k out??
  10. I tried that JPP .. he didnt give a sh*t. With your rugby match as more of importance ... to be honest with you guys I was more concerned about the mess my wife was causing to my leather seats!! haha
  11. The cop that pulled me over said he will put a note on his system because of the emergency ... but yeah I thought he would have escorted me to the hospital down the bus lane or something. I attached with my letter the discharge letter from Northshore hospital where it said blood loss etc .... and sent it to their Wellington office. Now because their comment was "I was speeding too fast" they have referred it to the courts where I have to deal with them now and start again ...what a waste of time .. plus I got hung up on 2 times when trying to get my letter back to give to the courts (I did save a copy with hospital papers) Even the courts think I have a good case and dont see what they problem was?? How do you get onto Campbell live?
  12. Hi All My wife was pregnant with our 2nd child and unfortuntely had a misscarraige so I choose to rush her to Northshore hospital about a month ago myself. I have a radar detector but didnt stop in time where a cop had his radar gun on me, we were stressed out because she was bleeding (wont go into details fella's) on my seat and in pain etc .... I was pulled over of course doing 119km on the Northwestern. He didnt even give a F*** as to what was going on so I got booked for the offence ... fair enough hes doing his job. So I sent a letter to explain why I was speeding at that speed ... as it states to do I got a response back from them saying I shouldnt have been speeding at that speed, nothing about that I should have taken a ambulance or anything or acknowledged what happened ... just that the speed was too high. Man I was pissed, must be a computer generated letter .. has anyone sent a letter to them or is there a loop hole iM missing here??
  13. Hi all Does anyone have or know someone who sells these? For an E36, the one with the wrap around the corners. I saw some on Trademe a while ago but no where to be seen now..... Thanks guys for your help
  14. Ive been advised by all McMillan, JC, CH & Jeff Gray that any engine recond's on a M3, weither its a S14, S50 etc they all go back to Germany?? have other M3/M5 owners here been told the same?
  15. Where did you find this info out??just curious... As for the plate history the car has had 3 plates on it with one personalised one.
  16. This M3 was imported in 1994 by Bishops freight, had 5 owners. Last owner has had vehicle for less than 5 months???? Engine rebuild must have happened 6 years ago. From what Ive seen M3's manufactured in 1994 has problems with the Nikasal block and water pumps going...done alot km's too. I would definately have BMW go over it with a fine comb ... If you want a E36 M3 go for a 1996 model and a 3.2 ltr ... There is a difference!
  17. This subject about about whats the difference M's and a standard E36 seems to be all over the place these days .... From what I know doesnt the model range go from standard E36, M-spec, Motorsport, M3? The true Motorsport from the factory has the M3 bumper, M3 Diffuser, suspension, mirrors, mouldings, sport seats, trim inside and wheels ... everything but the S50 engine The Mspec models I thought only had the trim inside, seats and bumper, wheels ... someone correct me on that one??? Alot of people these days seem to slap the M badge on when their car is a 320i etc with standard bumpers etc... I saw a E46 318 yesterday where he had the M3 bumper, mirrors and a M badge on the boot with a 3 ripped off a E30 stuck nect to the M badge?? I dont he could have fooled anyone off this forum ..ha
  18. I think the orange is great especially when driving at night, its easy on the eyes compared to the blues and greens. As everyone is saying the orange is by far the best compared to other colours .. If the orange gets on your wick I did see someone on Trademe selling adjustable coloured plasma dials for your speedo etc ... not sure about the centre column etc if you want those changed ... But as Jochen said .. is it really worth it?
  19. Go Good Year F1 Eagle GS D3, I recon they offer a smooth ride and handle well on the road in wet and dry. I have had Michelins, Pirellli's and honestly these are great tyres for what they are worth - $260/$300 tyre. They are great looking low profiles, great tread and are made in Germany. Check this link out: http://www.tirerack.com/survey/SurveyComme...=Eagle+F1+GS-D3
  20. I need a big car with power on the open road, so yeah a 7 is probably the best bet ... although does anyone know when the E60 M5 Touring is coming to NZ? Not that I have the cash? for one of those
  21. Interested ... Price range with the 7's? Service history? I prefer the black interior or with cream - no grey Colours - Black or White? PM me if you like with them Models - 735i, 740i ... no L models - too big
  22. Sorry Jazzbass ... I read your reponse and I get it ... Give the van to the wife and I keep the 3? That would be most ideal ... but when it comes to travelling to Wellington etc I aint taking no van :-)
  23. A Van??? Cmon bro? You wont catch me dead with a van.. An X5 maybe? When they come down in price Martynn example above is ideal with all the junk he had carted around - thats similar to us. The bad part of the 7 is the space I will loose in the garage opose to the 5 - I could still walk around the car in garage if I had a 5.
